Probably better tools already exist for this, but here's a web-based tool for inspecting the GCode generated by Cura:

http://jsfiddle.net/h3wbf9g4/8/

It'll let you view individual layers (extrusion is green, travel is blue, and retractions are red) and also choose a specific layer/set of layers to export (for instance, if you want to http://umforum.ultimaker.com/index.php?/topic/6802-2-ways-to-resume-print-from-last-layer/).

Ultimaker will always let you print whatever you feed it. You might need to add some settings by yourself though. We do not believe in locking our stuff. Thats what makes ultimaker what we are. We do try to ensure that the stuff we build plays well together, but if you need another piece of hardware / software / magical garden gnome, no hard feelings. We like people that tinker. Especially if they share awesome results.

Yes, although it will take a bit more work to get the g-code in the right flavor. There are people who posted how to do this for other slicers.
