thanks for the help.. so what ever design i want to create .. I have to create it on CAD and any other program and then upload it with cura ... so that It can slice it and make it ready for the 3d printing ... did i get it right ?

There are several free CAD softwares, maybe take a look at 123D Design?
If my memory serves well, there are letters in MeshMixer, so this can be an easy way to add text to an existing model...
I like design spark mechanical / spaceclaim.. when i need text i import from sketchup.
If memory serves well you need to save as sketchup 8.
There's a trick to add text in DS Mechanical:

You need a CAD program to do it. Or Photoshop CC can too. :mrgreen:
