Can anyone slice this?

Posted · Can anyone slice this?

I've tried a few times and Cura just sits there and doesn't build the print time on it

I don't know if its a lousy model (perhaps) or there's something wrong in Cura

There are two files, one says "repaired" but I can't get that one to do a print time/slice either

Thanks!

So say we all! =)

Loaded it in Cura, the status bar just hangs at the beginning. Doesn't even load the part for me either.

The part slice but it takes a while. Its still junk in the end and not printable.

The model is doubled, half is with inverted normals and the polygons are all exploded. In other word your into a lot of work to get that model to work properly.

If you look at it in XRay mode you will see that its almost all white. that mean that a lot of faces are overlapping.

Agree with the previous commenter. You seem to have duplicated the entire model. The first image (black and blue mix) means that there are overlapping surfaces.

Through this post I would like to further explain what we are doing, and what you could be doing.
Our efforts consist of 2 layers. First; connect medical institutions and hospitals to (local) 3D Printing hubs to help them print parts of which a 3D model already exists. And second, contribute to design the necessary part and then have it printed via a (local) 3D printing hub. Experts are available from within Ultimaker and from within our network of 3D printing experts.
