Not sure if there is a better place to buy in the US, but I was going through the process of buying from the Ultimaker shop and noticed a few issues:

There is no way to buy an Original, just an Original+.

The Original+ has a price of 995 euro on the store landing page, but it's 1,195 euro when you click on it. Certainly, I'd prefer the 995 euro price.

I tried to create a ticket on the support site to report this but when I try to register it continuously tells me that there is a required field left blank. I even entered a bogus order ID (despite the "optional" tag listed next to it) but that didn't help.

Anyone else seeing these issues?

Welcome to the forum.

For the support you dont need to register. Just click the submit a ticket button next to the register button.

Also there is a store you can buy from but cant remember what it is. Hopefully someone will pick that up.

Dyanamism is slightly cheaper, but makershed sells them for a similar price http://www.makershed.com/products/ultimaker-original.

Ordering from UM direct is probably the worst option, unless neither Dyanamism or makershed has them in stock, unless you don't care how long it takes to get to you.

The 995 is for the UMO:

I guess the future option for dual extrusion on the UMO+ will be the same as on the UM2: Most probably a new printer head with two hotends that can be driven by the Ultiboard2 together with the heated bed.

I'm from Ottawa and got my UM2 from Dynamism in October of last year. The experience was superb and I highly recommend them if you're in North America.

The shipping was $180 if I remember correctly and I believe the duty charges were around $350. The exchange rate is different today but I originally used this to calculate it.

I think all told it came to about $3100 Canadian, but don't quote me on that.

Any service / replacement parts will go through support from Ultimaker and since fbrc8 is handling North America support its quite good and fast.

No, I had it printing about 30 mins out of the box. I had an issue with the temp sensor after about 500 hours of printing, but the North American support got me sorted out pretty fast.
