  1. This is my problem too! Probably... Already send in a ticket! Any Ideas for making a ceramic part instead of teflon? Cheers!
  2. Allright Nallath, regarding this above, Please tell me ( either by PM, if you dont wat to make a statement which could cost you your job;) ) the "best " filament you sell, property- wise. as I want to paint it over anyway, but want to use it for long prints, and I would hate to have problems related to material. Thank you in advance! Cheerios! Lennart Bruggink
  3. Alright everyone, Thank you for the replies! It is clear to me that although meshmixer has a preference, there are a lot of new programms i can check out. I need to look into line support too from cura. my experience in the past was also that when using meshmixer and it would overextrude, the single line "web" between the MeshMixer support was very strong. Now, I need to resolve an issue with my UM2 for underextrusion. So if you'll excuse me i've got some tinkering to do! Cheers! Lennart Bruggink
  4. Hi there printer fanatics, It has been a while since I last needed good support printed, and I have usually been a great fan (bzzzzzzzz, no not the one flowing air) of meshmixer. But, As some time has passed and no-one sat still, I like to ask your opinion on what is currently the better support generator/ slicers. Thank you all! Cheers!
  5. Phew its been a while, How is everyone doing? I see that tehre are awesome print paint jobs been done lately! nice eye candy! Also, I see Michiel vd Kley's egg project is finally done! Thanks for the update kees;) I need new inspiration for printing, anyone got tips? Cheers!
  6. WOW! AMAAAAYZING ( crocodile) How on earth... how much time did it cost you? Cheers!
  7. Wow! Thanks for sharing ( and thanks for giving the link before I could)! I'd love to se the "manuals" for making the different shapes! I had to adjust the thickness though: for Colorfabb XT I only printed 2 layers of 0.4 mm. three is waaaay too tough. for glowfill also 2 layers, but remember to put material flow to about 133% (on normal settings, I do not remember what normal flow is in mm/s), so the sheets are flexible enough. See above, XT is too tough when too thick. Also use pritt/glue! XT tends to not stick to the glass buildplate ( at least on UM2)
  8. ow hi guys! busy with work n stuff ( but thats no excuse to print!) last 3d hubs picked up a good idea: the piece is a picture not of the ball, but from the 3d hubs guy who gave me the idea now printing in glofwill from colorfabb, sweeeeeeet pictures when completed. you guys print some too! They make excellent gifts! got to go! Cheers!
  9. You know what would be awesome.? Print some of these and bury them in your kids sand belt (zandbak in dutch, anyone can translate.?) When they are old enough , they will find a treasure themselves! Cheers!
  10. Hey guys, I have some news regarding my bronzefill printed ring. After having it on for two days, my finger turned bleu and green! ( and no it was not printed too tightly. ) i am not yet sure if this was due to the patina paint i have used, but iirc there are no bronze jewely because of this. ( actually google does not provide a definitive answer). I must say that i really like the Bronzefill though, it feels like a more solid object than the light pla. Nice one medusa! You give me an idea! Im gonna check if i can find a decent skyrim logo for printing, because the look is rather similar to yours. Keep up the good work! Cheers!
  11. We @ 3d hubs eindhoven had a presentation from Hilde Sevens from Autodesk, where afterwards she also mentions that they are working on/ already have ( need to verify) an integration for printable joints (!) This may be what you are looking for! If I have time, I'll dig thorugh the autodesk apps ( or mail Hilde, for that matter) Cheers!
  12. I have some waterproof sandpaper laying around, Would that be a good idea? also check out: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jbu4dn4QN04&feature=youtu.be This guy shows what happens with bronzefill after a night in a rotating drum with aluminium screws! ITS NICE! What I'm thinking: get an empty jar, some screws, some rotating stuff and get going! Cheers!
  13. phew experimenting on polishing bronzefill is hard work, How did you guys do it? link? I did not came further than this: (which is rather ok, if i say so myself) check out the timelapse: ) Cheers!
  14. bronzefill is amazing! Remember remember... polishin'.. Cheers! ps..@ wallan.. ... Gigidy
  15. hey Foehnstrum, How did you manage to get the purple in there? I love the ring! Cheers!
  16. whew been away too long too, so.. Love the painted no face cop Love the painted smile guy Love all the prints in bronze LOVE 3D printing! Got me some bronzefill too to experiment with polishing methods. but that's something for later. Right now my attention is on this project: Cheers!
  17. Geez, Awesome stuff goin on here! love the last character designs! again not a lot of time due to new job and moving, but i managed to do a little doodlin' hope you like it! just a guy with a chicken on his head ( yeah I ran out of inspiration) Cheers!
  18. Hey Zombie, Is the meshmixer crashing because of too detailed models? I dunno who, but someone not so very long ago said here to use decimation master in Zbrush. very helpful! For my printing adventures, Yesterday someone asked me to print some cufflinks. Being stubborn, I made my own setup with a double T piece for rotation into a holder (its kinda large now, but the T bend is hollow so i"m busy getting it smaller.) first print: Cheers! 100 pages for this topic! Hurray!
  19. ps.. my advice for ME2, do EVERY sidequest and finish all your upgrades, if you want to import to ME3 I have looked online, there are a lot of cosplayers who made "sort of"real life omnitools. check it out! cheers!
  20. That's a model I unfortunately do not have... i've got EDI, wrex, krogan female, nemesis, liara, mordin, tali. should I want more, I got to look at Ian nicely;) @ Ian, Yeah, explain how it should work! love the design! cheers!
  21. Seems like you guys had a lot of fun! funny to see the pictures you posted in the forums already! I don't see how the dragnet thingy should be working though, is it also printed with flex pla? Cheers! Lennart
  22. At first I found some model from League of Legends and printed some, but then I wanted other models. Just by using Yeggi and google I found the model from mass effect, but these were .c4d files. eventuelly Ian did the conversion but it took some learning before i could do some rigging in zbrush. Actually, I did not even rig it, just "transposed" the model. ( The model would dissappear with using Zspheres, and I never really found an answer to that problem..), But i digress, some people can extract the models as easily as they can import them, but with which software I do not know. ( If you know, I would be glad to know! I'm the one who's crazy enough to try and print them!) nananananananananana no batman?
  23. Aaaaand Done! Painting is harder than it looks;) The paint is just paint from the Xenos( a dutch cheap store) Maybe nail polish will give it a nice gloss. Has anyone got experience on giving gloss to a painted print? Cheers! PS. it should be this guy http://pichost.me/1764717/%C2%A0 Edit: yay 100+ posts!
