  1. OOw another guy who likes to print game figures, Check this one out, 1st printed yesterday: Guess which game (Ian can't guess, he converted the model for me ^^ thanks Ian!) double points for the name of the character;) . Posing-ish was done with Zbrush. Loads of under extrusion btw. This was because of an update for the UM2, which resetted the material I believe. Also cura couldnt get the cape right for support, seems to be an issue. I love meshmixer, but i had no time for that with this model. Cheers!
  2. Geez many updates! Nice To know! The pug head! I have printed it! I put a simple screw holder in the back so it is not a container anymore. Plus: its printed with free samples i had from colorfabb, Really Nice! "That is just one ugly motherf*****" Extreme nicely done! see above!and thanks again! that quality! what are the dimesniosn of the models? Cheers!
  3. OOw the pug is nice! are you willing to share your model? My brother is into pugs, but i have not found a decent enough model end my skills are not yet good enough for a detailed model. With which material was it printed? Cheers!
  4. Hi Guys!(and girls??) It has been a while now, and the last print I did was for a first order for 3D hubs, but the Client requested no pictures. So no eyecandy. I have seen a lot of cool prints coming by since my last visit! Superb! I hope to start printing an adapter for a racing belt today, but i need Nut and bolt dimensions ( Aaron...hi?) Cheers! Hey Aaron! Nice Work! I wanted to ask.. Can I get the CAD files from you of those Nut and bolt? And how did you managed to manually make such a good thread? Did you heat up the pla, the put it in the bolt and nut? I want to Know! Looking forward to the Final version! PS maybe you can sell them with a Custom print on them? Bring back the old Yoyo days! Rainbows and unicorns! Nice piece of eyecandy! How did you design this? What was your workflow? Wow the Heart is printed superb! are you sure it was an Ultimaker;)? How was this printed? halves? I would love to know, because it just looks so good!
  5. Nice! I know some guys from Retie (Belgium) who lived in Taiwan ( Edwyn on Youmagine). They had a deal with a DLP printer supplier that got them the printer for less money. Look him up and send him a message! Maybe he has some info. Am I the only one who goes "Toot Tooooooot" whenever someone posts a train carriage related print Nice work! Also I have been "brushing" around and made a spider. But I need some help from you guys, because the model I made consisted of an extreme amount of triangles, Meshmixer could not properly configure support material, which led to me using the default Cura support generator. As you can see in the Pics, the paws were nocked over ( tips, tips TIPS on this one?), probably due to the lack of sideways support. showtime:
  6. Awesome! keep it posted here! You never cease to amaze to what the normal man can do with printing! love it! And of course HOW do you do it? What sand, material, printer(DLP-type?) you used? What is a good source for getting Bronze? That sort of stuff! Also my first "order". For people with mental problems, defining what the problem is through the use of playmobile/duplo figures to get a bird eye view of the persons environment, the mom of my grilfriend asked me to make "emotion"representing figurines (color was more important than shape). So Yes we can! Cheers!
  7. Alright guys, Some pictures of the UM stand we put together for the Printbeurs veldhoven called RapidPro ( me and mathijs spedn yesterday from 1245 to 2145 setting it up and configuring printers.. phew, my first crash test UM2 unplugging! I would disadvise the use of pearl white PLA after the two unpluggings I did. But the Fair today went smooth!Epic amount of bracelets on autoprint! Some people might recognize their prints! see if you spot em!
  8. Yes mister Miyagi,.. Actually the supports were a bit rigid to remove, although they looked quite fragile, that is why one of the legs broke off. The point was that on the underhangs, a cluster of supports was generated, which was the hardest part. Cheers!
  9. Thanks! I have tried it again with a cat print: The only downside was that when i removed the support , one of the legs broke off, and the model wasnt for 3d printing, so the ears came out bad. Also, it looked like the cat was blowing bubbles out of its mouth due to slight overhang, oops ^.^ . sorry for the bad quality, but my camera doesn't handle red that well. Cheers! Offtopic: next week Rhino course! Grasshopper!
  10. That is the thought behind 3D printing! You need it, You design it , You print it!
  11. Ow yeah, My cat also is jumping on the kitchen plates, so I thought it would be good to take up on my project to make a front screen. Mark 1: Actually it is a bit sluggish, but it works! Cheers!
  12. Yeah, well mainly I do not know how to generate good supports that go outside of the model. ( that this is written in bold is a way of saying that i love to get somome help in that!). In any way I did it in the Chogath I printed, but cant remember how I did it( probably because I was randomly clicking at that time). I've noticed that the meshmixer supports were too close to the model so I had to use filler, But I think it came out nicely. It is btw not finished. If you look carefully, there are some grey patches. Maybe on my next print I'll try the tip for diluting paint. Lets check if it works! Edit:; works! Wow, I wanted to like your post but I felt sad for you so I didn't. But Damn, I think NASA would be interested in this type of adhesion;) Thanksies! Cheers!
  13. first paint coat before I go to sleep! (I made a mess of the paint job btw, my skills in painting are just not up to a "braddock/Valcrow level" But at least I'm proud. I made it, and its got 4 downloads already! But how on earth can I couple youmagine to this forum? Cheers!
  14. Fiddleteedee! Huraay, tomorrow an application and painting the rabbit, then off to grasshopper and then maaaaybe rigging;)!
  15. Fast n dirty: Cufflinks! Mark 1: Mark 2: Yeah!
  16. Thanks! I added the Rabbit on Youmagine, But I do not know if It is properly linked. How can I set My posts to show the Youmagine stuff? Remember, the design is without meshmixer. as for the box, the presser thingy clicked a lot, and the strands were too thin. When i noticed I set the temperature to build plate 67°C and extruder to 232°C ( from 220). I don't know, I'm positive I can get it better, but I don't have enough material left;) at least no "trial material"(I consider my Colorfabb materials the better ones). Also, the window was open and it is cold in the Netherlands. edit: i almost always use brim. I find that it is nice to see if the pla adheres or not and if there are any problems. Cheers!
  17. Cool stuff! als nice blueish color, which one is it? As for me, I spend the weekend modeling some nifty thing I wanted for a very long time.: A rabbit! (wallace and gromit, curse of the were rabbit) Made with Rhino (course pays off;) ), remeshed with Zbrush ( Zremesher is really awesome!) I want to paint him true colors! And something I quickly made this morning: . Also, I wanted to make something cool which I can show off, so i made a preset for cufflinks. However I need to think something up to make it one piece: Any ideas? My first Ultimaker spool is running empty! Time to but some new ones! From what i have seen on the forums , the colorfabb orange is really cool too! I have already got red and XT. Also I need to print with the samples from Colorfabb from the London print show. Cheerio! Lennart Bruggink
  18. Hey Ian! Thanks! I just sent you a test file. I hope something useful will happen! Cheers! Lennart
  19. Hi guys, I want to ask something, of which I can't get specific information on the web. I have found some files in the C4d format, which i guess relate to Cinema 4d software. However, I do not have the program and cannot read them but I want to have the files printable. Does anyone own the program to export the files and perhaps convert to .obj? Or in any case tell me if this is at all possible? Thanks in advance! Cheers! Lennart
  20. Weekend! Rhino course! or in your case, Do a design challenge make something from three random words: http://creativitygames.net/random-word-generator/randomwords/3 "vegetable monster arch" ??? Cheers!
