    Thank you for taking the time to reply, the rest is that in the firmware and once initiated will I have to do the setup of the machine again , like the z heights, bed levelling, steps,, I had to reverse the extruder motors in firmware for them to work correctly,, so after a reset this will have to be redone ????

    Don't know why suddenly this has happened I thought it might be a bug from S3D as some of the end code has E- 70000 but that is in code I knew worked (8 Hr print),

    The end of the print retracts the filament half way through the Bowden..

    Thanks

  2. Hears hoping I can get some help on the firmware for the Mark Two Modification, I have been using the printer with the second head turned off for some days until I got some kind of reply from my other threads, all was OK until last night for some reason the printer is uninstalling the Filament at the end of the print,, I did an 8 hr print two days ago and the print was perfect,, I am using Simplyfy 3d and the ending scripts are the same for the 8 hr print and the 90 min print I did last night, I repeated the 90 min print today and again at the end of the print the filament unloaded completely??????

    my ending script is

    E-5.00 F500

    G1 F2000 Z120.0

    G28 X0 ; home x axis

    M104 S0 ;turn off heaters

    M140 S0 ;turn off bed

    M84 ; Disable motors

    Any Help appreciated

  3. I Posted this under the Mark two but no One replied so I thought I would try outside of that TAG,,,

    1st I cannot get the Firmware to do a Pid tune on either of the heaters when I set it going it has a target temp of 150 which it soon passes and then says temp to high ?? what is the procedure to do a pid tune??? with this Firmware??

    Next is a bit more tricky I set the bed levelling up, I got the 2nd head docking and un docking I did the Z offsets for both nozzles but when  ran the calibration code the head ploughed into the plate ?? this nocked the steppers off and after that nothing worked the head broke the docking bracket, which ill re print But when I bring the head to the front (Move) menu,,  the X cross slide hits the parked head two... any Ideas where I went wrong  ect ???

  4. Ok Sorry if this is question is in the wrong section if it is Apologies, I have finally got around to setting up my Mark two software and hardware (Docking ect.,) all went well till I started the code for calibration,  the head ploughed into the Plate,  I had set up the offsets ect for the Z both 1 and 2 heads.

    I had the mark two working ie swapping heads ect..

    ,,,, when this happened I think the motors slipped when I did a head switch they never married up again,, when I moved the head 1  to the front the cross bar hits the parked head ( sadly this broke the docking mount, so that will have to be re printed) could anyone shine a light where I went wrong??? when the second head was parked should you still be able to bring head 1 to the front without cross bar hitting head 2....

    Also I tried to do a pid tune on head 1 but this failed it had a target temp of 150, when I watched the screen it got above 180 and then failed saying temp to high,,, Any help appreciated....

  5. I watched all the videos on this and was one step from pre ordering then sense came to me, all you get is the motion system and tools changer, you have to sort the rest like how to get it all to work with simplify 3d, and they make a statement it sort of works no mention of the firmware, no mention of the heavy scripting needed, .... so yes I like the look but needs a lot more work on it, Software is not there yet... just my thoughts.

    Hello @foehnsturm,

    I would like to report a minor-negligible issue with the updated head.stl file, the main head part is positioned 0.25mm higher than the cable cover.

    This is not a real issue but it could create problems if the user does not notice it before printing.

    just went to git hub to update my files (going to Carry On with Conversion this weekend), Do I just need the Head file and not the head B file,, I got the Head a file

  7. while I was modifying my profile for the UM2 I came across a FFF file that contained this in the script section

    {REPLACE "; outer perimeter\n" "; outer perimeter\nM204 P800\n"}

    {REPLACE "; inner perimeter\n" "; inner perimeter\nM204 P1000\n"}

    {REPLACE "; solid layer\n" "; solid layer\nM204 P1000\n"}

    {REPLACE "; infill\n" "; infill\nM204 P3500\n"}

    could some one enlighten me what this is doing I have not done any scripting before sodont know what the knock on effect of this script is

    hey @tinkergnome, i have a problem with my code. When the temperature drops, it stabilizes at 80 ° and not 170 ° for both extruders.

    [extruder2_temperature] = 170° ( managed cooling variable on S3D side, dummy T2 tool )

    {IF NEWTOOL=0} M104 S[extruder2_temperature] T1
    {IF NEWTOOL=0} M104 S[extruder0_temperature] T0
    {IF NEWTOOL=1} M104 S[extruder2_temperature] T0
    {IF NEWTOOL=1} M104 S[extruder1_temperature] T1

    What do you think ?

    if this is for the S3d - could this be used on a dual headed machine as well as the Mark 2 head on the UM,,

    my script for tool change at moment is

    {IF NEWTOOL=0}T0 ; start tool switch 0

    {IF NEWTOOL=0}G1 Y250 F8000 ; travel

    {IF NEWTOOL=0}G1 E-0.5 F500 ; fast purge

    {IF NEWTOOL=1}T1 ; start tool switch 1

    {IF NEWTOOL=1}G1 Y250 F8000 ; travel

    {IF NEWTOOL=1}G1 E-0.5 F500 ; fast purge

    I note that the M104 might be the issue Any thoughts on this or advise ?????

    Understood completely, I waited till the machine needed to be serviced, a miss hap with Build tack sorted that out, I took the opportunity to install both 3d solex heads, I had and the Bondtechs, I used the expansion board and that went fairly well,, I had more problems printing the new Head and getting the magnets to stay put than anything else, and I think the life of my printed parts is not that good but it will get me started... have you checked you have the second extruder port ?? I double checked all the wiring and checked again (Phew) I also made my own Fan cables as I didn't have the WireHarness... Good luck with the install I think it is well worth it..

  10. I am wanting to print with Dissolvable material has anyone any suggestions which is the best I have found the likes of Esun, Formfutura, and Verbatim, which they say is BVOH which is expensive, I don't mind the cost (within reason) but just don't want the Nozzle jams??? and is it ok to leave in the printer ??? I thought I read that it was bad practise and asking for problems...

    Any Advise welcome and appreciated???//

    thanks for that, I did understand the principle the wedge, I printed in N Gen Flex

    as you san csee it is too big in the Z the 3mm screw is level with the holder.

    I doubted the STL File was wrong so I printed in normal PLA on another printer and

    what I don't understand obviously the Grey wedge is to tall so the size has been altered during the print, I would like to find out where and how this occurred.

    I used S3D

  12. I am in the process of doing the conversion and came to the point where I fit the wedges, which I got from Git Hub I printed these in Ngen weeks and weeks ago ready for this point in time, BUT they do not fit I estimated they are out by 2mm, I did a measurement of the STL File for dimensions and they are what I have printed. the roof of my printer is 6mm thick material, and wondered where have I gone wrong or is the STL File wrong (which I doubt) but there again things have been known ??? I'd like this strait in my mind before I go printing the same wedges with 2mm of the bottom
