Hi All,

Quick question, is Marlin a drop in replacement FW for the UM2? what I mean by this is will I just be able to print as normal but with a better features or will I have hassle with bugs / new complicated settings etc.

The UM2 uses a variant of Marlin. You should not install any other firmware than what's included in Cura (unless it very clearly states that it is for the UM2).

As for your other question. The first post of every new member has to be approved by a moderator. This is put in place to deal with spam mostly. I went ahead and deleted your earlier thread.

If you want to tweak Marlin you can get the source code and build your own - but start with the official version for the UM2 here:
