Just in case somebody is looking for a smoother alternative to the orange skin of the standard 2090 tape, the 2080 is supposed to be for 'delicate surfaces' and has a much smoother printing surface. I've had a play with the 2080 and it works well, as long as the print is not too large. Others with more experiance might have better luck on larger prints with this than I.

The description mentions some orange branding on the tape, but mine is just blue.

    Hello,

I confirm that printing on blue tape 2080 works really well.

Also the surface is looking better than with the 2090 ! it looks more glossy

Absolutely! It's the second best tape you can have. The best is Kapton, but adhesion is a bit smaller (without heating).

Ive seen videos of people using tape on the build plate, but I was wondering, this doesnt interfere with the heating element?

Is this just an alternative to hairspray? Less mess/clean up?

    Thank you!

Blue tape is usually used on unheated build plates.
