I just use normal office printer paper.... always available and works fine... and as it has some structure you feel the smallest friction very good.

Use a z-offset command, you can't lose that; if you delete it you just key it in again!

I'd guess it's intended to be 0.15mm
I measured mine as 0.14mm with some digital calipers.
Try getting a "feeler gauge" from an auto-parts shop. They're used for setting the gap on spark plugs.

Also it could be an idea to develop a feel for the levelling of your bed on eye sight. You'll probably learn it through experience, but in that case you wouldn't need an aid anymore at all![:)](//content.invisioncic.com/ultimake/emoticons/5a33abdf6d109_1f60acopy.png)
