Cura 2.3.0 (release) Bug - profiles are not importing

I have just installed the Release version on my printer laptop rather than my test laptop where I have been using 2.3.0 Beta for some time. I tried to import all my profiles, about 12 of them. Cura told me a profile had successfully been imported but it is not there.

Quite urgent as I cannot really use the Release version without the profiles - and the effort to create 12 profiles to get this working is not attractive!!

No idea if this worked on the Beta version as I did not have any to import when first loaded.

Could you send me the logs? A number of fixes have been made to the profile importer after the release. 2.3.1 should be out soon (read; within 2 weeks)

@yellowshark: In the meantime you could just look at the profiles themselves without importing them. I think they are zipped text files. And since the profiles aren't fully exported but just a diff to the default profile (which I think is a big mistake), you can see which settings you need to apply.

That's weird. Where was it located on your machine?

Also, when a new printer is created, Cura does not recognize it when restarted.

It is working with 2.3.1which I loaded yesterday. There is a funny though; I am in conversation with Support and will report back once that is resolved or I find out what I am doing wrong.

BTW you need to change file suffix .inst.cfg to .curaprofile when you import. I do not know for sure but if you Export I assume Cura does that.

v2.3.1 seems to have fixed the profile import issue.

v2.3.1 is also VERY slow to load. I've got a fairly fast machine with an SSD and it never takes less than 30 seconds.

I have the same problem but I've just updated Cura to 2.4. I'm trying to import this profile for the mp select mini, every time I import the file it gives me a success popup but then the profile is not available to select. Any ideas? 5a3335bccf52b_ScreenShot2017-04-13at16_33_19.png.ad80bf64d9925d63eb929daee37bf0cd.png
