    dear neotko

i might been not clear, no this link is not the solution at all.

with my windows 7 i don't get a pop-up and even if i ask to look for a new network, it will not give a connection.

the question is, how to link the printer to the excisting network

Hi, plug in your Ultimaker 3 to your router via an Ethernet cable. On the printer got to settings/network run down the selection and to "LAN cable". At the bottom of the screen you should see the internet address (eg 192.168.107) note this. Now go to a computer on your network and fire up a web browser and type the printer address you noted, in the address bar, which should bring up "Welcome to your Ultimaker 3"  page with a start a "Start WIFI setup" button on it.

Can you try with your phone?

thanks, but the idear on the network is to send files and to use the camera at the off-hourse printing,

The mobile option does not add any fjnction as i see it now.

And unless you set up a VPN network (@UltiArjan did it) the monitoring only works when you are logged in on the same network as your Ultimaker 3 is connected to.

yeah, I was surprised how easy it is, depends on the type of router you have ofc. but with a "fritzbox" router it's a matter of a few minutes.
