Cura 15.x = "Legacy Cura", the original Cura software, not in active development since 2015

Cura 2.x = "New Cura", a rewrite of Cura with a lot more features, the software that is in active development

To make matters more confusing, other companies like eg Lulzbot continued working on the old Cura, and reached versions like Cura 21.something. Yet others continued working on old Cura and called it Cura 1.5. But Cura 2.x is the way forward.

I still use Cura 15.x for build plate leveling on my UMO+. The Cura 2.x functionality for this purpose is just not as usable. I don't have access to it right now to confirm, but for example, I don't recall the concentric squares pattern to check leveling to be in 2.x.

For us folks with UMO/UMO+ can a Cura 15.x style leveling routine be added in future versions of Cura 2.x?

    Has been there since 2.1

Since 2.3 it's possible to trigger it by means of "machine actions". Go to manage printers & select the umo+. On the right you should see a "Level build plate" button. This starts the bed level procedure.
