Hello,

I have owned my UM2E+ for about a year and half now and I have never been able to utilize the full volume of my printer. I have pretty well tuned in high detail and engineering grade prints a higher resolutions but I have never been able to successfully print much beyond 0.1mm layer heights. Every attempt I have made has massive amounts of under-extrusion between the layers causing the print to either fail or be incredibly weak upon completion. This increased layer height should very well be achievable on this printer and should enable me to make much larger prints in "sane" time frames but I have yet to figure out the settings on this thing to print at lower resolutions.

Could someone take a look at the settings I am trying to run to see what I am doing wrong here. I am running Simplify3D and printing the Buster Sword model from MyMiniFactory.com with MatterHackers white ProPLA at 0.2mm layer height.

    I will try to look all settings but the first weird thing I see is the infill overlap at 50%. Is way too high. A 15% should suffice and a 25 if you look for good looking stuff (without too much infill so it doesn't overdrip.

    Also about the underextrusion. Higher than 0.1 means more mm3, if you never changed the TFM coupler, please check how many print hours since at 500-2500h it use to need a replacement.

    Also to just remove your s3d settings out of the equation. Try Cura default settings for normal/fast settings. Just to have an example that more users can check or compare.

    Is this what you were referring to? I have also posted an image of my run time stats, I didn't realize this was a wear item that needed replaced. I will try to make a test print tomorrow in Cura for comparison.

    Hey there we just got an ultimaker 3 at my work and im curious as to what settings and tolerances you are working to in order to achieve engineering grade prints? cheers
