Multi-colour prints

How do make multi-colour prints? Is it via print file or is there a trick to make the printer swap extruders?

You need a printer with two extruders like the UM3.

@Ghene has a UM3.

 

Well you need two different STL files - one for each color.  You load both of them and then right click one of them and assign one to the second extruder then select both of them and merge them together.
