Posted · Intent Profiles for more materials

Hi, the intent profiles have been quite a game-changer for us, since we have profiles for Tough PLA that reliably produce accurate parts, our S5 is getting more usage than ever.

Now, Tough PLA is a good material - until there are special requirements, such as high temperature or chemical resistance.

So we'd love profiles - especially for CPE and Nylon, in our case. Is there any timeline on when additional intent profiles will be released? Will they be released as part of a Cura Update, or will the material profiles be updated seperately?

I agree, Particularly interested. I never use PLA but lots of CPE and Nylon so intent profiles for these would be excellent.

What is an "Intent Profile", and how does it differ from the standard profiles?  I use almost exclusively CPE in my production work, so better profiles interests me alot.

    Here's a blog I wrote about them https://ultimaker.com/learn/intent-profiles-ultimaker-cura-4-4

At the time of writing, they are supported by Ultimaker S5/S3 printers when used with (Tough) PLA and ABS and support materials. So this thread exists to gather interest about which materials you'd like to see this applied to next.
