Hi,
Hope you are doing well.
Can Ultimaker S5 print at 20 micron or 0.02mm layer resolution with 0.4mm nozzle?
It is not accepting 0.02mm on Cura, see attached. However, it is mentioned on the ultimaker website.
Kindly confirm it and let me know about it asap

    Hi

Yes, according to the specs it is be possible:

    0.25 mm nozzle: 150 - 60 micron

    0.4 mm nozzle: 200 - 20 micron

    0.6 mm nozzle: 300 - 20 micron

    0.8 mm nozzle: 600 - 20 micron

To be honest I don't know it in that case.

It appears when you select a combination which is not supported or not recommended. Maybe that is also the case here, because 0.02 is really very unusual. When you enter 0.06 the warning is gone.

While you should be able to print at that layer height, unless you have a very specific reason to do so, it's mostly a waste of time IMHO. You can actually get worse print quality at such thin layers because any tiny variation in the filament or anything else along the extrusion chain can show up. Personally I never go below 50micron and even printing at that layer height is exceedingly rare for me.
