Was a solution ever found for the offline issue? Currently I am running in to the same issue with both my printers now showing of line in digital factor.

Can you share your logs with us? It can also be a private message.
Than I can have someone from the team look at it so we can either troubleshoot what is wrong or we can log it as a bug that we can try to resolve.

That connection issue sounds very awkward indeed.
In order to debug, would you mind sharing your printer log with us, so we can debug what exactly was going on with your printer?
