Printing to two Ultimakers from the same computer

Hi,

I have purchased two Ultimakers to speed production, however I would like to print different things on both from the same machine. Is this possible?

What you print is from the sd card, so yes you can print what you like on each machine.

WoofysPlace, only if you have an Ulticontroller, otherwise you print via USB.

Tim, people sometimes have problems printing on just one printer using USB so I don't think it would be a good idea. But I don't see why it wouldn't work if you run two instances of something like Pronterface. I'd just try it, worst thing that can happen is a failed print or two.

USB printing is not all that reliable - I hope you end up getting ulticontrollers. Or ultimaker2's.

Some people have been able to print on up to 8 printers at a time with hardware and software - I really haven't paid much attention but I think octoprint and a raspberry pi can do a few printers at once? Maybe? And doodle3d is a wifi to usb thing where you can send prints to it and it does the printing even if you computer is off. I think.
