Posted · REST or is there a Cloud API? Which to use for ERP?

I found the REST / Swagger based API to the S5. Now the question is, is this the "Ultimaker Preferred" way to integrate into an ERP? Or is there a cloud API?

Thanks,

The REST API you found is for “local” networked printing. There’s also a cloud API, but I don’t know if that is also published. AFAIK, the local networking functionality is no longer getting much attention, but it still works.

    Hey JB, Ahoeben,

Yes, you can use the Swagger API on the S5 to give your printers commands. A better way to do it is to use our cloud APIs to do so. This will leverage all our cloud-features you can have, even when the printer is on a remote network or with other shenanigans.

You can learn how to use this here:
