so.... a job from my library, printed a hundred times before, went though and seemed to be ok. Then i came back and printer had claimed it had finished the job and the bed had dropped however it was missing the last like 10/20 layers. But according to the printer it did the whole thing? what the hell is this, i just upgraded to the new S5 firmware so maybe related. 6hrs wasted today however. Can i show the log to anyone who could maybe tell me what is going on? im reluctant to run a overnight 12hr job incase it happens again.

Cheers

i just dont have the time to do it, it wants serial numbers of all the components etc.. i'll have to take a punt and hope it doesn't happen again.

I have downloaded the logs but they mean nothing to me, but yeah, my client isnt really happy as it was seemingly minutes from completion.

exact same job from the library completed overnight this time... absolutely no idea what happened the first time. I guess these things happen in fabrication but ive had way more failures with my S5 than my workhorse U2+E.

ok so first job this morning, different file from my library, did the same. "Finished" many many layers short. Another day lost...

@Carla, interesting i think you might be right. I opened the file in the new version of cura, sliced it and saved it out again and its wayyy bigger in terms of time to print. What on earth.
