Hi I wonder if anyone has had this issue where the tune screen on S5 does not read the core temp when trying to set temp offset?

I can enter an offset value but get no feed back to tell me what the current and target values are.

thanks

    Update!

It's been found by one of the testers and I see that some efforts have been made to resolve it.
So I'm hoping that a fix can be included with other bugfixes in the next version of the firmware.
    Fingers crossed 🤞

Since this post, we haven't had a firmware release for the Ultimaker S5, only for the S7.

So keep a close eye on this page, or on your printer for updates.

Will a factory reset solve this?

7.1.3, last in date, solve this issue, and had been stable so far :

IIRC, the temp issue was in a stable release : please UltiMaker, we already have so little information on this screen, Q-check that this kind of issue won't repeat on stable, that's not very professionnal for 6k€ machine 😕

Oh, and if it's possible to get the actual Z layer when printing, this is quite convenient and viewable on any other machine.

    Hey @Jhawk6553,

A factory reset will not resolve it, unfortunately.
A fix is in place, but it has not been released yet because there has not been a firmware release for the S5 since then.

I don't have any influence on how soon it will be released but I expect we don't have to wait much longer.
    I apologize for the inconvenience.

      • S-Line Firmware 8.3.0 was released Nov. 20th on the "Latest" firmware branch.
(Sorry, was out of office when this released)

        This update is for...
        All UltiMaker S series
        New features

Temperature status. During print preparation, the temperatures of the print cores and build plate will be shown on the display. This gives a better indication of the progress and remaining wait time. Save log files in paused state. It is now possible to save the printer's log files to USB if the currently active print job is paused. Previously, the Dump logs to USB option was only enabled if the printer was in idle state. Confirm print removal via Digital Factory. If the printer is connected to the Digital Factory, it is now possible to confirm the removal of a previous print job via the Digital Factory interface. This is useful in situations where the build plate is clear, but the operator forgot to select Confirm removal on the printer’s display. Visit this page for more information about this feature.
