Hello, I have some experience with this ultimaker model in the past and I'm in the process of starting up and using a new ultimaker 5s in our office.

I can only see older ufp models load up on the usb. Any new ufp models I save on the disk today do not show up after I click "select from USB".  I am using the original usb drive that came with the computer.

It's running 7.0.3 firmware. I don't have the ability to connect it to digital factory. This is why I am using the usb option.

Any help is appericiated. Thanks.

    Hey @alorenzi,

Welcome to the Ultimaker Community 🎉

Are you sure you have the Ultimaker S5 selected when slicing in Cura?
It will not show UFPs that are sliced for other printers like the S3 or the UM2+C.

Are you running on Mac or Linux? We've had some reports that in some cases filenames are empty so they don't save properly. Can you make sure that your file has the corret name? Example.ufp

If that doesn't work, do you have a project file for us? It contains the printer and settings we need for troubleshooting.
To save a project file go to File -> Save project.

    Hope this helps. 🙏

Turns out my files were being encrypted when I was transferring them to the usb from my laptop. I found a method to prevent them from being encrypted and that solved my issue.

    Thanks MariMakes!

I figured out the issue. My files were being encrypted when transferring them to a USB. I found an alternate method to prevent the encryption, and this helped.

      • S-Line Firmware 8.3.0 was released Nov. 20th on the "Latest" firmware branch.
(Sorry, was out of office when this released)

        This update is for...
        All UltiMaker S series
        New features

Temperature status. During print preparation, the temperatures of the print cores and build plate will be shown on the display. This gives a better indication of the progress and remaining wait time. Save log files in paused state. It is now possible to save the printer's log files to USB if the currently active print job is paused. Previously, the Dump logs to USB option was only enabled if the printer was in idle state. Confirm print removal via Digital Factory. If the printer is connected to the Digital Factory, it is now possible to confirm the removal of a previous print job via the Digital Factory interface. This is useful in situations where the build plate is clear, but the operator forgot to select Confirm removal on the printer’s display. Visit this page for more information about this feature.
