That didnt do anything.
Code remained the same
Reinstalling Cura is one Solution.
Or try in Cura: File > Reset Profile to Default
Or Use the following:
;Start GCode Cura 14.07
;Basic settings:
;Layer height: {layer_height}
;Walls: {wall_thickness} Fill: {fill_density}
;Print time: {print_time}
;Filament used:
;{filament_amount}m {filament_weight}g
;Filament cost: {filament_cost}
M190 S75 ;{print_bed_temperature}
M109 S220 ;{print_temperature}
G21 ;metric values
G90 ;absolute positioning
M82 ;set extruder to absolute mode
M907 E1000 ;set extruder current to normal state
;only needed for Trinamic-Stepper
;not needed for UM2-Original
M107 ;start with the fan off
G28 X0 Y0 ;move X/Y to min endstops
G28 Z0 ;move Z to min endstops
G1 Z15.0 F{travel_speed}
;move the platform down 15mm
G92 E0 ;zero the extruded length
G1 F200 E3 ;extrude 3mm of feed stock
G92 E0 ;zero the extruded length again
G1 F{travel_speed}
;Put printing message on LCD screen
M117 Printing...
;END GCode Cura 14.07
M104 S0 ;extruder heater off
M140 S0 ;heated bed heater off (if you have it)
G91 ;relative positioning
G1 E-1 F300 ;retract the filament a bit
;before lifting the nozzle, to release
;some of the pressure
G1 Z+0.5 E-5 X-20 Y-20 F{travel_speed}
;move Z up a bit and retract filament
;even more
G28 X0 Y0 ;move X/Y to min endstops,
;so the head is out of the way
M84 ;steppers off
G90 ;absolute positioning
;{profile_string}

Just because I had a nightmare trying to restore mine even after reinstalling these might help someone:

Thanks !
I have had this too, tinkering with the headers and then not knowing if i have broken something. A "reset to defaults" button for each script would be cool. Once you have edited it, unless you save it away its gone, and even if you reinstall it picks up your old preffernces file with the edits in it.
For future reference, if you rename/remove current_profile.ini in the Cura directory under the Cura installation directory, Cura will regenerate it with the original start/end gcode.
On my system. this file is:
C:Program Files (x86)Cura_14.07Curacurrent_profile.ini
NOTE THAT THIS RESETS ALL YOUR SETTINGS TOO.

File -> Reset profile to default
File -> Reset profile to default
This was the first thing I tried when I messed up my start.gcode but it doesn't actually seem to restore the default start/end gcode.

I guess the easiest way might be to set up a new machine of the same type. Then you can just copy/paste the codes.
