The new Cura will be able to do this. Hopefully it will be available as a beta soon. It's codename is "pink unicorn". I think some people have tried it already. I guess you could download all the source files from github and build all the pieces yourself.

Are you sure about it? I thought Cura PU will be able to do different infills for different objects, but not a variation of the infill within one object. But maybe you know more than I do or I do not remember correctly... Daid will certainly let us know it tomorrow... B)

edit: I think a beta is not something to expect within the next few weeks...

Slicing up multiple g-code files of the same object and merging them together is not as easy as it sound the extrusion value is relative to the previous extrusion movement (G1 command with E component). So when just putting 2 parts together your first extrusion movement could result in either a retraction or over extrusion. But still is a nice idea which I'm current exploring current have AWK script that can put 3 gcode files together as one. Been able to print a rose starting with a layer height of 0.3 then switching to 0.2 layer height and ending with 0.1 layer height without above mentioned extrusion problems.

Yes I noticed that too so I started a plugin in cura. See topic here
