Just got my Ultimaker 2 today.

I have to say I am very impressed with things such as:

Instructions to unpack

Instructions to set up

And the first run wizard

Bed leveling was extremely easy.

First robot print in PLA was fantastic.

It is very very quiet.

The lights stay on so I can have a camera on it in an unlit room to remote monitor it.

and of course that it is open source.

Hey, welcome. Is there any chance you will go to MakerFaire NYC? There will by about 70,000 people and roughly 7 people from the forum will be there including myself. And some UM employees will be flying in from The Netherlands. Yes, welcome, smorgana! I'm glad your first impressions are good. It's a great printer, and I'm sure you'll get some great results.

And Maker Faire is definitely worth attending. I'll be there with gr5 at the Ultimaker stand, too. No idea what they'll be announcing though... * whistles nonchalantly *

Knowing one or more of the announcements is not so difficult. You just have to meet the right people.With this strategy, I also have absolutely no idea what at least one of the announcements will be... :ph34r:

Hi, sorry cant make it to the Maker Faire.. I'm in westen NY so its an 8 hour drive.

Having lots of fun with my Ultimaker 2... impressed by the quality of the parts it makes!
