Layer height: 0,15

Shell thickness: 0,8

Enable retraction [X]

Bottom/Top thickness:0,8

Fill Density: 25%

Print Speed: 80

Initial layer thickness 0,3

Bottom layer Speed: 30

Inner/Outer shell Speed: 60

    Hi Welcome to the forum,

I don't speak german sorry, but google translate helped me understand some of the things :)

For the temperature fluctuation, no it's not normal. The latest firmware corrects this, you can update the firmware with the latest beta version of Cura:

    http://software.ultimaker.com/Cura_closed_beta/

For the rest google translate was bad :)

    Hi Didler

The first one was a introduction from myself ;-)

I speak with a guy from igo3d, he told me that i should downgrade my printersoftware to the cura 14.03

Is the Cura 14.11 better than the 14.09 concerning the retraction?

The other Problem is, that some layers are not closed in my prints.

The Problem is, that the Feeder "ticks", the result is that not enough material come throw the nozzel :-/

14.09 is the stable version for the slicing software, the 14.11 version has an update for the firmware that corrects the temperature fluctuations on some machines.

You can continue using 14.09 as the 14.11 is a beta version with some bugs...

From what i understand you have underextrusion, this can be caused by many things. (partially clogged nozzle, bad temperature/speed settings, filament diameter over 3mm, etc...)

    Can you upload a picture?

How to upload pics on the forum:

You might want to have a look at this link too:

So yes the orange print has underextrusion

what temperature and printing speed do you use?

What is the brand? (It looks like colorfabb).

Is the spool of orange near to the end?

If you now print with the green filament, do you have the same?

The print temperature was 225-230° and the Speed was ~80mm/s

The Brand is Innofill from iGo3D.

Hmmm i think the spool have more than 60% left

I print now a Thing in black and with the Cura 14.11 Software.

But nearly the same result :-/

I think it is a Cura Slice Problem because when I print the things from the Ultimaker SD-Card it works.

Could you send me a Picture from the "Standard" settings?

    Thank u so much

    Regards

    Dominik

Try reducing the speed to 50mm/s

If the problem remains then you might have a partial nozzle clog.

Try cleaning with the atomic method:

    Hallo!

Hardwareseitig - Wärmeleitpaste an Heizelement u. Temperaturfühler (an der Nozzle)

    Softwareseitig - PID- Autotune

    Chris

oh i just realised that this could all be related to the temperature fluctuation you were mentionning... (silly me)

Printing at 80mm/s at 230°c should go fine for 0.15mm layers but if temperature drops down to 215°c then you're in trouble... reducing the speed could compensate for this but it would be better to correct the temperature fluctuation

    @Chris:

@Didier: The Problem with the not stady temperature is gone :-) the update to the cura Software 14.11 was the solution :-)

BUT the Problem with the layer is still there.... Could it be a Problem with the 0.15mm layer?

Cause I "think" the things with 0.1mm printed good.

    Could that be?

Could you send me your Cura settings because I think I have there the Problem...?

    Thank u

    Regards

    Dominik

    Schon komisch...

Also alle mit Layer 0.15?

Wenn man Probleme reduzieren will - langsam machen.

      • S-Line Firmware 8.3.0 was released Nov. 20th on the "Latest" firmware branch.
(Sorry, was out of office when this released)

        This update is for...
        All UltiMaker S series
        New features

Temperature status. During print preparation, the temperatures of the print cores and build plate will be shown on the display. This gives a better indication of the progress and remaining wait time. Save log files in paused state. It is now possible to save the printer's log files to USB if the currently active print job is paused. Previously, the Dump logs to USB option was only enabled if the printer was in idle state. Confirm print removal via Digital Factory. If the printer is connected to the Digital Factory, it is now possible to confirm the removal of a previous print job via the Digital Factory interface. This is useful in situations where the build plate is clear, but the operator forgot to select Confirm removal on the printer’s display. Visit this page for more information about this feature.
