  1. Here is a video on how to upload images:

We know it is not the easiest way, but it is what we have atm...

Can you upload an image of the robot?

Most likely you have to go into Cura and slice it again because the gcode on your SD card is ok, but not great.

I think in your other post I already gave you some guidelines.

  2. Hi Rafael,

    Thank you for your post.

I have read back through your conversation with our technical service desk and I feel like we did offer our help.

We helped you troubleshoot your Ultimaker and every time, except for 1 delayed reply, you received a a reply every day. I understand you are very eager to get your machine back to work, but especially for that reason it is important that you put the emphasize in your replies in the detailed description of what is wrong, instead of saying you feel abandoned and you upset.

We have send you a new Z-motor a few days ago, in consideration of your urgent situation.

Today Chris will get back with you, continue to troubleshoot your Ultimaker.

If you prefer, or if we can not find the problem we can also have your Ultimaker picked up.

We will repair it for you and look for a solution.

In any way we are working with you to get you back to 3D printing as soon as possible, because eventually that is what we all want. Thank you,

  3. Hi Everyone,

I am trying to gain some more insight in this wonderful community and one of the things I was curious about.. what is the ratio of users who have mastered the skills of CAD-modeling and who don't.

It doesn't really matter right now what software you use for modeling, but if you want to share you can leave it in the comments. :)

Everyone who wants to contribute to this poll is much appreciated!

    Thank you for your time!

  4. Yes, I think most of them should be on http://vimeo.com/ultimaker.

For a while I have been thinking about helping setting up ulti-evenings in other countries too.

Since it is such a global community I have already heard various requests about community-gatherings in other countries. Does anybody know a fablab in your area that is familiar with Ultimaker and would possibly be interested in participating?

  5. Hi Sinan,

    Thank you for your post.

I am sorry to hear you have not had a reply in the last week.

I have informed my colleague to follow up with you today and solve your issue with customs asap.

I am sorry to hear you are facing these difficulties with custom clearance and a delayed response.

You are on my colleagues radar now and I am sure it will be solved soon.

Thank you for your time and patience,

  6. What can I say reading the replies...

I suggested to Sander to make a FAQ or a well-organized manual back in April... Being working in a training dept. of my company, it's not that much of a big deal for me.

And yet, no really serious replies received. :(

Maybe you haven't noticed, but the FAQ/Troubleshoot page has been updated after your message :)

  7. Hi guys,

I have been working on a tips and tricks document.

It has more to do with how to handle overhangs and what some basic settings may affect your print.

It is not in detail yet on what profile works best. Partially because I believe this also depends on the shape you want to make. And you always have the option, do you want to print fast or high quality?

But I think it is a good idea to collaborate on it, since everyone has a lot of knowledge.

Let me think on where it would be best to share it, so we can all make comments / modifications.

  8. Hi All,

As David just said the price indeed will change for the nozzle.

After my previous post on Friday I looked into some documents and conversations and when I just talked it over again we came to the conclusion somewhere down the difficult line of communication something got misinterpreted.

The price of €69,50 was intended for the Ultimaker 2 printhead, comparable to the Ultimaker Original hot end upgrade.

It would include the nozzle, teflon tube, hot end isolator and the spring.

    The nozzle itself costs €39,50.

I understand some users have paid the high price, and I would like to offer those either the entire package (what they actually paid for), or a coupon code for the difference in price.

You can send your ordernumber to me in a DM or contact sales (you know the way), and we would be happy to make things right.

    Our apologies for the inconvenience.

The plan still stands to offer more parts through the webshop within a reasonable amount of time.

Thank you all for your time,

  9. Hi Sebizzle,

First of all, congratulations on the worldcup!

I am sorry to hear you are experiencing troubles with your Ultimaker.

Could you also upload some pictures of the prints you are making?

Usually by analyzing the print it can give us a lot of information.

And can you also inform me what you mean by file the nozzle?

    What tools have you used?

Right now I do not know what you have done, but I can imagine it could also have damaged your Ultimaker.

If you are in need of a new nozzle, you can also contact our sales team via http://support.ultimaker.com/index.php?/Tickets/Submit http://support.ultimaker.com/index.php?/Tickets/Submit.

As for documentation, we have a FAQ and Troubleshooting guide on https://www.ultimaker.com/pages/support/faq

If you find some specific information missing, feel free to let us know.

Have you also made modifications to the feeder?

Or what did you try to make it extrude better?

Looking forward hearing from you, and get you to reliable printing asap :)

  10. Hi All,

I wanted to give you an update about the repeated request for spare parts for the Ultimaker 2.

For a while we could not put them online for purchase because, as the lead time proved, we couldn't afford to

sell them individually and run out of stock. Instead we did offer them to our users when they contacted our sales department. They have always been available, but perhaps not in the most easy way. Our apologies for any inconvenience for this.

Following the current lead time, it shows that we are starting to control the situation and this means we are taking steps on making some parts available through the webshop. We are finalizing some preparations but since the topic is getting bigger I wanted to share this update with you that within a reasonable amount of time they will become available.

Hopefully this is some reinsuring news and we will meet a lot of your needs. Because that is our goal.

Being a (successful) start up we hare expected to grow in all ways and directions all at once, sometimes we may not grow as fast as expected but we do aim to meet your needs and requests. Thank you for your time and taking the effort to express your needs, so it gives us direction.

  11. For what we have / is prepared it needs to be a certain diameter.

I don't know that from the top of my head.. But we choose 100ml so it goes a while before refilling.

The biggest downside for 60ml is that you may need to refill faster..

If you don't have a 100ml for comparison it is probably a difficult thing to answer.. but do you think your 60ml is shorter or thinner? (or maybe both)?

  12. The filament is not mandatory either.

I will bring a reel which should be enough for everyone.

Bring your printer, and a a syringe if possible and you are in the green :)

The syringe is without the needle, but it should have like a small opening (which they usually have by default).

  13. Hi Lieven,

Thank you for your detailed report.

It sounds like overal you are impressed with the machine which is a good thing to hear :)

You are right about the material settings being stored in the Ultimaker 2. I agree I had to get used to this in the beginning as well, but it is a very convenient not to make a slice for every material (even though Cura is very fast).

About the default profiles, the bed at 70º is too hot. I always tune it down to 55º/60º.

The reason it has changed is that you have a much (much!) nicer bottom finish with the glass plate.

You don't need any extra materials (like tape). And it avoids warping better then tape.

ABS with fans, I don't know why. I will pass this on to Daid as a suggestion.

Besides ABS, I have also printed in Nylon which is also very strong. Have you tried this already?

    Thank you for your report!

  14. Hi Guys

You don't need any tools to take with you.

The only part you need is a 100ml syringe. If you have these lying around that would be great.

Besides that you need to print a couple of parts and need a piece of bowden tube (we will have that) and filament (which everyone should have plenty).

It is quite easy to remove the hack, so you don't need to do any hardcore modifications to your precious machine :)
