  1. Hi Felix and Evilpoltergeist,

Using your email and our communication system I have been able to find your order numbers and since we are sending a large batch of Ultimaker Original's out today I double checked and both your Ultimakers are scheduled to be shipped out today!

Hopefully that is some satisfying news and you will be able to start your 3D print adventure soon :)

Let me know if you have any further questions,

  2. Hi Hunter,

    Thank you for your post.

Could you send me the ticket ID number that you have send (in a PM if you prefer)?

I will get it sorted out and get you 2 new stepperdrivers if this is indeed necessary.

Could you perhaps post a picture of how it got delivered to you?

It would rule out any miscommunication of any kind :)

Looking forward hearing from you and sort this out. And get you back to 3D printing asap.

    Thank you,

  3. Hi Eric,

    Thank you for your post.

What does the rest of the laser pack look like?

I see some of the markings are double, is it only the front panel?

I don't think you have to worry about the bearings falling out because it also has end-caps.

But you just want them to be stuck into place.

Keep me up to date about the replacement part. It should arrive shortly.

    Thank you for your time,

  4. At what resolution have you printed these models?

The pictures you uploaded on the previous page (87) show (in my opinion) some over extrusion I saw before when printing at 20 micron. The settings were fine, but the resolution in E was not accurate enough. (I must add, this was over a year ago). But it had the same squiggly upwards lines.

Have you tried decreasing the flowrate by just a few %?

Or just as someone else said, print at 40 or 60 micron.

The difference between 20 and 40/60 micron is difficult to say on the naked eye while the overal printing-time is severely longer.

  5. Machine arrived today, builing has started, i see that the frontpanel moved during cuting. The bearings fall through, hope I can glue them in later. It is clear something moved since not all holes are round and the marking 1D has a echo. I guess if the bearings are glued in it is hopefully no issue.

Could you take some pictures and send them to our technical support?

They will be able to help you and make a proper judgement call if indeed you need a replacement panel or it can be resolved in another way.

Thank you for your time and our apologies for the inconvenience,

  6. Hi Laurent,

    Thank you for your reply.

Looking in our communication system I see we have been in touch before in regard of your fan and you have now

been in touch with my colleague. The response time has always been within 1-2 days with an exception of the last reply. I understand it can be frustrating to have a stubborn technical problem, but we are here available to help you and get back to trouble-free printing, just as the community.

GR5 has some good tips which I recommend you try.

It is no problem for us to send you a new teflon isolator, but by my understanding Marrit will also offer you the service of picking up your Ultimaker and have it repaired by us.

If you have any further questions on how to proceed please feel free to ask.

    Thank you for your time,

  7. I gave up on UM in general, until today and its been more than 5 month already I cant get parts replacements & I wrote like 10's of emails & got no reply to a simple problem for the online shop when I am trying to pay for the spare parts.

theee worst service ever, printer sitting doing nothing, never never again I will buy from them, my makerbot service is excellent & its still printing as we speak even.

My Advice buy the older UM or even by pass this whole thing & go for the makerbot.

    Hi Naz,

I am sorry to hear about your experience with Ultimaker.

I remember we spoke when you just got your Ultimaker and we replaced it because it had some difficulties.

After the replacement I do not remember speaking to you again, have we?

If you are still experiencing difficulties please get in touch with me or the technical support team so we can offer you our assistance and turn your experience into a more positive one.

We do not ever want to leave our users in the dark, and if you have an Ultimaker 2 sitting there doing nothing I think we should work together to get it back to printing.

I am looking forward hearing from you!

  8. Hi LaCarpe,

I am sorry to hear you are having difficulties with your Ultimaker.

But I am sure it is nothing we can not solve.

What you are showing on the video is normal behavior.

You have just loaded new material and the feeder is pushing material forward until it extrudes.

You can extrude a couple of centimeters until the 'old' color is out of the printhead and in your case you only see Ultimaker blue coming out. The fact that it skips steps is because the motor has been tuned so instead of grinding through the filament, it skips so your filament doesn't get destroyed.

The proper workflow would be to hit Ready and the skipping stops.

Go to Print and start a print.

If your Ultimaker is calibrated correctly, which I assume it is, and you print with normal settings like 100 micron/50mm/s/210ºC you shouldn't have the skipping.

Could you let me know how this works out for you?

    Thank you

  9. Hi Andrea,

To follow up on your post, I just got off the phone with iMakr and they told me they have repaired your Ultimaker and it is ready for pick up. I think they handled it rather professionally and hopefully you can get back to 3D printing asap.

If you have any further remarks or questions, please feel free to contact them or our own support team.

We would be happy to help.

Thank you and have a great day!

  10. I see you are printing with PLA.

With PLA you do not necessarily need glue or hairspray.

What you need is a bedtemp of 65-75º, printing temp of 220º and a speed of approx 30mm/s

If your print got detached from the platform, another reason can be that perhaps your first layer was just too far off the bed. Can you take a picture of your first layer?

Can you re-level your bed and try to put it just a little bit closer to the print head?
