  1. Look at this image for connecting the wires: http://umforum.ultimaker.com/index.php?/topic/3786-ubis-hotend-on-an-ultimaker/page-3&do=findComment&comment=33404 On the PCB side, use the 2 outer pins for the thermistor, you don't need the middle one.
  2. Ubis hot-end back in stock, only 1 left after my order:
  3. I have a heated bed for almost a year now, made this picture of it how it's connected: http://umforum.ultimaker.com/index.php?/topic/1996-need-firmware-hex-file-with-heated-bed/&do=findComment&comment=14076 Use it with a Meanwell 320W power supply which powers the bed and the UM itself. Also using a MK2A PCB below a 4mm alu plate, on top a glass plate of 4mm to print on.
  4. I had the intention to make a quote for you, but I see that only the shipping costs alone are € 18 , if you want track & trace it will be € € 24,30. Have you taken than into account?
  5. I didn't know it was not working on the UM2, I've got a UM1.......
  6. Hello Jonas, Use the "Pause at height" function in full settings, tab Plugins.
  7. I also us ethe H3 feeder and I used the thing below for that: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:17027 Just print it and assemble.....
  8. Corrugated cardboard does indeed insulate well, if it's made of good quality.paper....

  10. I've printed the modified version with XT now with 235 degrees, the old one was printed at 220 degrees. Printing right now with the modified version at 230 degrees with no fan's at all, It's holding just fine. I would definitely not say that it is the design Nick, it will probably have been my own fault somewhere!
  11. Well, had a disaster this morning with my Ubis, the bowden popped off during a print ! Did't had a spare printed so I repaired it with my soldering iron so I could mount it again and quickly print a new one. First I modified the original bowden connector of the print head of Nick Foley, made the connection point a lot bigger. Will post the modified version on Youmagine and Thingiverse.
  12. I prefer a "Pro" line, a full color DLP printer with a large build volume !
  13. I've made a 13 hour print this weekend wihout any fans, had no problems at all.....
  14. What went wrong? After your post, I'm almost afraid to show the print below:
  15. Currently printing a 10 hour print job (4 hours to go) without any cooling, also without my desktop fan. Object is big enough to print without the need for fans. I see you printed your head-mount with XT, it will hold the temperature of the hot-end.
  16. Indeed, I have a heated bed, I set the temperature of that only at 56 degrees. When I don't use my destop fan now, the head-mount feels warm at the end where the Ubis hot-end fits into the head-mount. At the back on the left, it feels normal at room temperature so the heated bed doesn't have much effect on the temperature of the head-mount eventually. The XT will hold just fine, but I feel more save to cool it with a fan on the head-mount.
  17. I didn't measured it, but my best guess is about 55 degrees because my PLA was deforming a little after 40 minutes printing without any kind of cooling.
  18. This weekend my Ubis hot-end went into 'production'. I've used Nick Foley's head-mount, adjusted the original file a little because I was breaking the head-mount when pushing the bearings into the holes. The cables of the Ubis are on the outside of the head-mount, putting them inside giving me MAXTEMP errors. At the end I've printed the head-mount in XT because the PLA version deformed after printing with it more then a half hour. I don't have a crossflow fan like Nick does, perhaps that's the reason the PLA deformed. Currently I'm designing a fan mount, meanwhile I use a desktop fan instead to cool the filament. Print results are great, very happy with it!
  19. Also testing several things myself, not finished yet to take the Ubis in 'production' :-)
  20. Czucker, Compared with the original printhead of the UM1 , the Ubis cartridge version is still a very valuable upgrade !
  21. Anyone knows the thread size of the nozzle of the Ubis hot-end? I don't have the equipment to measure it.
