  1. The sample pack contains : XT, bronzeFill, woodFill and glowFill.
  2. That's a good idea from 3DCase with the names ! Had a very nice evening meeting new people and saw a lot of UM 1 & 2 running the colorFabb sample packs!
  5. Advise for adhesion with XT to the printbed (use it also for PLA), use kapton tape. I print with XT every day, never have adhesion problems.
  6. Advise temps are indeed high, 240 to 260 degrees....... I hope I can make it on time from work......
  7. That kind of approach would be preferable I suppose........
  8. I was planning to design and build my own quad-copter for the winter, but after reading this topic perhaps It's a better idea to participate within this group. Although I'm not an expert in 3D modeling (learned it hands-on) I can make an attribution with it.
  9. I've created a PDF file of the Tinkerine post, feel free to use it: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/1911369/Shared%20Files/Post%20Process%20Your%20PLA%20Prints.pdf
  10. You will get less accurate prints because the motors have more resistance due the tension. Pulley's can slip, motors become more hot then usual, reduced print speed ect.
  11. I've looked at the twister blocks of Chopmeister, seems to me you won't bring too much tension to the belts. For about 5 months I also use other X-Y blocks then the original ones, and still use the springs.
  12. Just saw this post, here's my advise: For the new XT formula use, as advised on there website, a nozzle temp of 240 to 260 depending on the object and speed of printing. Generally I use 240 up to 30mm/s, 245 from 30 to 50mm/s, 250 from 50 to 65mm/s, 255 from 65 to 75mm/s and 260 above 75mm/s. Bed temp 56 degrees. For adhesion to the bed I always use kapton tape, nothing else.
  13. Hello JHinkle, Thank you very much for your reply. The stepper motor I wanted to purchase are from Wentai, I'll take your advise and take a look at the E-bay shop you advise. Also another question, I see a lot of Ultimaker PCB boards on E-bay, complete with stepper drivers and Arduino Mega 2560 boards. Where did you buy yours and how does that PCB is working for you?
  14. "Except the Nema 17 stepper motors I have nearly every part" If I may ask, where did you get the PCB?
  15. For almost a year I print also with PLA90: http://www.orbi-tech.de/shop/3D-Filaments/PLA/3-mm-PLA/Premium-PLA-90-3-mm-natural::280.html It is indeed 3mm of diameter, my UM1 handle it just fine :-)
  16. Hello Selmo, They are indeed almost the same. The main differences are that these are less stiff that clothes pin springs and are ready to use. With clothes pin springs you have to cut some of the spring off and bend both ends to keep the spring in place.
  17. Hallo Sander, Het aanbod staat nog steeds inderdaad. Mvg, Harold
  18. I do have Solidworks, maybe I can help. Send me a pm with the file, I'll take a look at it tomorrow.....
  19. I honestly don't know, I'll take a look at it this evening......
  20. David, What I normally do, in Cura expert settings, on the tab Start/End-Gcode, in the left below window, change the M117 command. I put there the filename of the gcode file I'm preparing to make, import the STL file into Cura and save the GCode file equal to the filename I put in the M117 command. Example: M117 any text you want
  21. Glad we could help, happy printing again !
