  1. sound like the S5 is just not working for you...
  2. @SandervG I sent you a PM, I am hoping that you can route my info to the right person and help me. Thank you
  3. oh wow cool ! does the polymaker fillament work in the S5? guys, Would installing CURA and going to the "store" be the best way to learn what is supported by the printer in terms of filament brands and settings
  4. I thought you had some rig to measure what you pull.. do you?
  5. Well I just ordered my first ultimaker + hood. Did not order the material handler for now. I am really excited!! Looking forward to learn more about using other materials. @SandervG
  6. Im ordering my S5 and while I want the material handler, it is not in my future at the moment. However, can you tell me how you measure you PVA? Doe cura tell you thing accurately? Thanks
  7. I am looking model an object or part based on a 3d scan and have the 3d printed part fit or work. I would probably want +/- 0.01 or 1/64" at best or 1/32" at absolute worst. I also want to make certain the supports when removed leave a " nice smooth" surface. I am comparing and or setting my expectations based on tiertimes up mini es abs printer.
  8. How accurate are parts printed in the s5 dimensionally? I cant seem to find this in any of the specs, but I know is one of makerbot propositions on their method printers.
  9. I have had the formlabs.. the issue is that those parts arent end use parts and the build volume is tiny. Im am going to jump into the s5 and get the material handling unit down the line. I need the larger build volume. Do any of you own an s5 already?
  10. yikes it looks like $10K US. I think am going to get the 5S for now, and save for the top enclosure in the future. So is the S3 just a smaller S5? I am really looking for something with a bigger build volume to the small printer I have. I wonder if the two new attachments would work on the S3
  11. Their announcement is probably USA time...?
  12. The part that is confusing to me is the statement continuous printing.. wouldn't you need some automated way to remove the printed object?
  13. Wow @cloakfiend lol, those detective skills are on point. One more day !!!
  14. Hello everyone, up to recently I have considering a Makerbot method 3d printer. I have known about Ultimaker for some times but never really realized how sophisticated they seem to be. I guess if ford is using them.. they cant be that bad. Lol I like that you can replace the nozzles easily on the Ultimaker and use engineering materials. With a this said, how does a 5S or 3S compare to the Method? Things that are important to me are dimesional accuracy and a smooth or consistent surface. Thank you.
