  1. Found it, it is under settings as a toggle. Thank you, let me try that. I am going to put my PVA in the printdry box for a bit and then back into the polybox.
  2. How do you turn off the filament sensor? my PVA seems file, at time it pops here and there but for a second here at there.
  3. I have been getting the error below the past few days. Doesn't tell me which material run out (because neither material has run out).. I am not sure how to trouble shoot this or what could be causing this. Its seem to be on the PVA since every time I "reload" it after the error I am able to continue printing. Any ideas? Funny thing is that it doesn't tell me which one run out.. Thank you
  4. we shall see. currently it is showing 10% humidity since yesterday afternoon. whereas the outside is at 55%. so it appears to be working.
  5. I think that as long as you keep an ye on the humidity you can keep the stuff there for a few days. I am sure they tested their product.
  6. Okay, so it seems that I could use both to compliment each other. Just need to keep several desiccant bags on hand. Thank you for your reponse.
  7. Sorry I did not know where else to post this question: being a printdry owner, I just got a Polybox because of its smaller form factor. Naturally from what I understand the printdry is a dehumidifier and it plugs into the wall etc. The Polybox on the other hand just run out of a small cell battery (that is supposed to last for 3 months), it is filled with two large desiccant bags and it is supposed to keep my filament dry while printing and storage. I gather that the printdry is heating up the air inside its chamber and heating up the filament so that it releases and absorbs moisture. How does the Polybox work or what does it attempt to do in contrast? Thank you
  8. Thank you , yes you are right. I will check it out. I think with what just happened I will me much more aware.
  9. I feel like a rookie.. lol That is what it was, during the scale from inches to metric it moved into the build plate. Thank you. I struggle to rememeber that step at times, I wish there was a way for the models to NOT go into the build plate unless we make them go in. Sort of like the "scale small items"
  10. Okay guys, I am confused, I thought that if I have 0.1 mm layer height and I am building a 1 mm part, I would end up with 10 layers. how come CURA is only giving me 4 ?
  11. I appreciate that they dont want ti include it, but honestly when customers spend $$$ on equipment aimed at prosmer or professional environments they need to reevaluate they thinking. I run a business and the S5 is part of that operation. If a chinesse printer has this info, and formlabs does, (so does aleveryone else) why cant ultimaker give its customers what they want , need and seems to be a standard piece of information. Layers is how a printer prints, so show what layer you are printing. I would want to drive a car that doesn't show me how fast its going in MPH or KPH and that only says, "slow and fast".
  12. I think having the current layer / out of if basic information any printer should have especially the S5 being a production aimed unit. The more I more with it and the more information I have the better I can manage the production of prints and manage risk. Here is an practical example: You print fails or there is an issue at a give z height at hour number 28/34 , then you can stop the print, remove the part and start a new print from that given layer onwards. Natually you will have two pieces to glue together but this is a typical scenario of how this information can be useful. There is all kinds of scenarios for why this information is useful.
  13. These guys are taking a bath 🤣 25hrs on UM5 .4 @.015 Bronzefil + PVA
  14. Is it possivle for the printer to display which layer it is currently printing or had finished like other printers do? This is very helpful especially when prints fail and you need to reply from a certain point etc.
  15. Its happened twice where a print will stop because my printer "thinks" I am out of a certain material when in reality I am not. Rather than guessing, I would be great to see which material we are out off and even the layer at which we ran out.
  16. Yeah I guess.. I would just hate to tear up a 0.4 nozzle printing those material since they dont make a ruby tip on that size and beause I need the resolution. I am alreay doing that printing some bronzefil.
  17. your printed is so clean inside.. I have the printdry.. not too much of a fan.
  18. Guys, @SandervG and team. I ordered an air manager, I was told UM is currently fulfilling BUNDLE orders and the separate components are not shipping yet? can you please confirm how accurate or not accurate this is? I ordered on the day after the release from Dynamism. Thank you
  19. Hi someone recommended MAGICGOO. I bought it on amazon as I was having similar issues. I also found that any draft of cooler air into the print chamber will mess with the print. Also maybe try 80C on the bed.
  20. That is what I thought in regards to the side finish being a little "rough" I do have the CC core, but I have to say that I am a little disappointed that they made it a 0.6 mm and not a 0.4mm you can really see the rounded corners compared to a similar print with the regular AA 0.4mm core. do you know if NylonG is has any smoother surface finish, or regular nylon for that matter? Thank you !
  21. I have a CC core on my UM5 and have downloaded the CURA material profile. I am printing with a brim as always and using a product called PRINTASTICK - from APRINTPRO. The am getting some wrapping on the part edges on all size of parts, from parts as small at 2-3 cm to 10 cm. I am looking for ideas and recommendations to start using this material successful and for larger builds. Does the fact that I am not running a top cover be the number one cause of this? should I be using another adhesive - can someone please recommend one? Last but least, are the sides of Nylon prints, as opposed to ABS, PLA and other plastics typically feel a little abrasive? Thank you
  22. USA, I don't even think ultimaker knows when at this point to be honest uh? Lol. All I know is I paid for something and whenever I have reached to dynamism they havent replied. No information regarding this.
