There are no new versions of 2.7. There are two versions of it; beta & release. Both of them are downloadable on the site.

Any chance to release the 3.0 beta? ;)

    Well, this was just released:

    https://3dprintingindustry.com/news/ultimaker-cura-cura-connect-launch-tct-2017-121814/

So something will be launched soon-ish (October 17), though I don't speak enough hype-speak to understand a word of what is being released (since the integration plugin for SolidWorks has already been released with 2.7).

    And Cura Connect?

    Cura 3.0 will be.

    And Cura Connect?

The name is a bit confusing, but most of Cura Connect has little to do with Cura. The magic lives on the printer.

The forum post (https://ultimaker.com/en/community/51270-ultimaker-announces-software-releases) was a lot more informative than the rehashed press release.

    Nope.

Expect some embarrassing breakage then. It's code, it will be buggy, be realistic.

It's not my call. I think it's naive to think that it's possible to release stable software without a beta.

So the Beta happened anyways! Link to forum post: https://ultimaker.com/en/community/51443-ultimaker-cura-3-beta.

    p.s. it's a bit of a silent Beta.

      • S-Line Firmware 8.3.0 was released Nov. 20th on the "Latest" firmware branch.
(Sorry, was out of office when this released)

        This update is for...
        All UltiMaker S series
        New features

Temperature status. During print preparation, the temperatures of the print cores and build plate will be shown on the display. This gives a better indication of the progress and remaining wait time. Save log files in paused state. It is now possible to save the printer's log files to USB if the currently active print job is paused. Previously, the Dump logs to USB option was only enabled if the printer was in idle state. Confirm print removal via Digital Factory. If the printer is connected to the Digital Factory, it is now possible to confirm the removal of a previous print job via the Digital Factory interface. This is useful in situations where the build plate is clear, but the operator forgot to select Confirm removal on the printer’s display. Visit this page for more information about this feature.
