infill a bottom part of my mini

Recommended Posts

Posted · infill a bottom part of my mini

HI,

as you can see in the image until layer 16 it is all ok, but layer 17 is too much surface and the quality is not good.

Can specify in cura that i want that kind of infill in the first 16 layers?

The original file is form heroforge the blue part is a raft made by cura.

Thanks!

Hi

can you please post your Cura project here or the STL file, then we can take a look on it.

I can't because the stl is from heroforge and it is not redistributable 😞

It sounds like maybe the model is supposed to be hollow for the first 16 layers.

Although maybe it's just a bad model.  You can repair bad models most easily by passing them through the netfabb free repair service (you have to create an account):

https://service.netfabb.com/login.php

Or if you are lucky you can just go into Cura "mesh fixes" and play with each of those.  One of those might fix the problem.  But many of these will fill in areas that you want to be open so check carefully in layer view before printing.
