I am not an expert on this type of thing, but that connection carries a lot of current. It is the type of connection that can cause fires when it has a bit of resistance and/or partially disconnects during use. It is something you will want to be careful with.

Adhesive, no.  Solder, yes.  You don't need silver.  Ordinary solder is fine up to 200C.

Unfortunately the copper trace is ripped.

I would personally fix this by scraping the black coating off the copper for the next 5mm or so of trace then solder the wire directly to the trace.  If it feels pretty solid then at that point I would also add some strain relief: probably glue the wire down to the edge of the board.  Use a glue that can handle up to 110C.  Or I might drill two tiny holes close to the edge of the board and use a metal wire looping through the holes to clamp down on the power wire.

Thanks everyone for the advise.  I'm not too skilled at soldering so I just ended up buying a new replacement.  That said, I will practice my soldering skills now that I have this spare board ;)

      • S-Line Firmware 8.3.0 was released Nov. 20th on the "Latest" firmware branch.
(Sorry, was out of office when this released)

        This update is for...
        All UltiMaker S series
        New features

Temperature status. During print preparation, the temperatures of the print cores and build plate will be shown on the display. This gives a better indication of the progress and remaining wait time. Save log files in paused state. It is now possible to save the printer's log files to USB if the currently active print job is paused. Previously, the Dump logs to USB option was only enabled if the printer was in idle state. Confirm print removal via Digital Factory. If the printer is connected to the Digital Factory, it is now possible to confirm the removal of a previous print job via the Digital Factory interface. This is useful in situations where the build plate is clear, but the operator forgot to select Confirm removal on the printer’s display. Visit this page for more information about this feature.
