I store my print cores not in special ESD cases or such things. Some just lay around and for others I printed some holders which can attach to the printer side. Because I rarely change the print cores, I printed now holders which are just in a drawer to protect them from dust.
I am just be careful to not touch the electronics on the print core, but the core itself is not so sensitive as you may think.
I designed a four core stand that can store the cores hot without touching anything. I printed it on its back and it came out perfect. Heres the stl. if you want it
