Printed my head in colorFabb Bronze Filament

Recommended Posts

I 3D printed my own head in colorFabb Bronzefill material and it turned out amazing. I can't wait to finish the polishing on it and have it look like real bronze.

Looks amazing! What were all of the settings you used? I've got an UM2 and am having real problems with a successful print. I'm also trying to print similar type face scans as yours.

Also, how did you get your scan? It's really high quality?

It's not a scan. It's an artists representation. One with talent.

I looked on their website and didn't see anything besides 1.75 offered...is that what you used or did the have 2.85/3.0 available previously?

The settings used were 0.16mm layer heights at 50mm/sec at 260C hot end and 60C bed and it printed out this way.

260C for bronzefill, are you sure? I print (and copperfill) at 205C-210C (which is much closer to what ColorFabb recommends)

I wondered the same thing. 260C seem very high considering what is recommended. I'd also worry about the bronzefill conducting so much heat to the teflon.
