I also have to say.. I bought these two amazing lego belts online for 3 euros... other than that.. the whole system is 3d printed from my ultimaker... not one more bolt or screw is needed. Ian :-)

this design also allows the system to be bolted to an existing ultimaker2 using only 2 screws.. so the other 2 holes can be always fixed to the stepper motor... so of course it wont fall down !! The left arm is also locked into position after the filament has been loaded. The overall traction of the LEGO belts im using is incredible ! with a profile on both sides.. there is no sliding or falls moves. Ian :-)

All I need now is to find some smaller good belts and down size the design and then I have a brilliant feeder that can handle any form of filament... Plus with a little redesign, The loading will be made even easier... PLUS... iv tested the design with NINJAFLEX flexable filament and it works as well... yippee... :-)

Morning guys !! Back safe and sound from Erfurt :-) Had a lovely time meeting many cool people and seeing some new tasty technologies... plus some amazing new materials coming out of colorfabb ! ;-) Did my presentation at 4PM on Friday... the people were a mix of business men and were tired... I spoke too fast becasue I was excited and after the presentation.. I didnt get one question.. so I guess I bombed out a little :-( But I think If I had talked about candyfloss and my childhood.. the people would not have noticed... Screw it !... I had fun and it was a really interesting Fair like always ! Florian Horsch and the two amazing Messe Girls did a brilliant job ! :-) Ian :-)

ok its 10 minutes to 2 in the morning. I have finished my 3d presentation for the big day tomorrow. I have a bag of prototypes and my right foot has fallen asleep... im ready.... Hi Aaron. This year im doing my presentation in English. But im sure one or two german words will slip in there some where ;-) Im just polishng off my presentation now. Im trying to keep it as simple as possible as I noticed last year... the less on the screen and the more coming from the presenter.. the better :-) Last year they had a small dodgy camera setup but I guess Florian has a better camera setup this year. Oh god.. fingers crossed...... Ian :-)

hehehe,,,,, im putting together my presentation now.. and my finger tips are getting colder and colder.. i hope thats a good sign ! ;-) I want to really say someting important at this fair and show some important ideas... I dont care if Im completly wrong or right.. The imporant thing for me is sharing ideas and opening new directions of discussion and finding better solutions... Ian :-)

Do the print table calibration test.. so you know its perfect. THEN.. set the print bed to temp 55. put a little glustick over the area you will be printing on. slow the print at the beginning.. speed... 50 and you should be fine ! Ian :-)

Morning guys !! Aaron dont worry about your presentation !! If the mateial was good... then im sure the people were happy. Its like saying the cake was amazing but the cheeries ontop were a little saur. Plus next time...think of a presentation like a loud chat between friends...
