ok... just back from my latest and greatest meeting with the boss.. AHHHHHHH Its amazing how predictable bullshit can be sometimes... As I said before.. i got my job from the owner and the boss is scared to the bone to fire me.. but hes becoming a world expert in shutting me and my skills downs... So today I took a tip.... i kept my bloody irish mouth closed... And let him do the talking. He offered me a deal where I can do further education after working hours and at the weekends.. for 5 years.. the company will pay for half of it and i just have to sign a contract that i must work for this company 3 years after I am finished. So.... i already badly wasted 2.5 years of my life in this go no where work... god... please inspect my head and see if there is anything in there ?.... or I take the offer and basically shoot myself in the professional career head..... Its like watching a fresh chicken pushing out of the egg shell... watching my life at this moment slowly cracking... and I cant blood wait to see it happen ! Now that was a good coffee break !! :wink: LOL Ian :smile:

its annoying me.. which tank is it ? I think from the armour connection german and from the thickness later than 1943. I was thinking Jadgpanther 38T Hetzer but that doesnt match... mmmmm.... thinking... Super prints by the way ! Ian :-)

Hi.. What speed and temp are you printing with ? The ultimaker2 is a very accurate and detailed 3d printer but with the existing feeder and hotend design seems to be limited in speed for many users.. Your not alone.. many people who first used the ultimaker1 noticed that the overall quality and design of the ultimaker2 is far better and reliability but for the moment until ultimaker get there feeder and hotend tweaked... you have to print hotter and slower. You can get tons of amazing prints but those two points are important. At the moment im getting really good prints with speed 55 temp 255 but that really does vary with different users and different filament. Another question.. when you print.. is the back feeder clicking ? Ian :-)

morning guys ! :-) Im still tweaking at two design ideas.. two very different approaches both offering different benafits. I am curios about which one ends up better. The big presentation is now in 3 weeks in Erfurt germany and Im going to have a lot of fun showing off my 2 ideas.. working models and also discussing the topic with the audience.. will be a crazy think-tank of people.. :-) Would love to have live feed there but not sure about that.. ? Ok here is the blog page with some photos from the trip. Here is what happened. Me and my girlfriend went car-camping for 8 days down in Bavaria Austria Lichenstein and back into the black forest. i think the heavy german ww2 halftrack made from paper is a just.. GAGA.. cool :-) The panzer 3 afrika korp is also a real humdinger ! Shurik.. did you ever thing a few ultimaker users could pull together to model and print a really cool Diarama ? Im not sure what but a group of King Tiger Tanks rolling over a small barn in the Ardennes Belgium 1944 (Battle of the Bulge) all 3d printed would be very cool. Plus... just thinking.. im not sure if this was done yet ? Im sure the modelling magazines would love to show off what we do with 3d printing Diarahmas ?? what ya think ? :-) Ian :-)

haha.. your all losers !.. i just ordered an ultimaker 10.... it works in conjunction with my brain and prints according to my eye movement with RGB colour....;-) Ian ;-) LOLLL

so a colleague of mine gave me a funny look a few minutes ago. Im busy printing out my CV and portfolio for the monday interview.. I think she spotted it in the copy room... Kinda a big give away.. mm I wonder what Ian is doing... LOL But I got some nice things together,, have to do a little shopping after work.. tank the car.. oil .. window washer ligquid.. check the air pressure on the tyres .... I think thats it.. Im really excited... going through the mountains of southern germany and through northern austria and back up though the black forest... all the time camping in the back of our ford kuga.. :-) So if anyone sees a white ford kuga with a very proud blue ultimaker robot on the back side.. THATS ME BABY !! ;-) Here is the route at the moment. satruday. Nurenburg sunday Regensburg monday.. north of Munich.. job interview monday. Chiemsee betwen Munich and Salzburg tueday. Salzburg wednesday. Berchesgarden thursday. Krimml WaterFall Austria (5th largest waterfall in the world :-) friday. Vaduz Leichtenstein saturday. Ulm Germany / Stuttgart Sunday: Frankfurt. Monday. Home and of course relaxed and ready for work Tuesday morning !! ;-) oh wait.. i have nothing to do in the office... HAHAHAH.... :-( Ian :-)

very creative design. Are you using an ultimaker 1 or 2 ? What speed, layer height and temp are you printing at ? Did you print with lots of support and then just cut it all out with a sharp knife ? Ian :-)

Im still not sure If I can publish my designs and process here.. :-( I want to..... but.... no anser... .... pity i have some cool renderings i did last night and would like to publich before I hit the road early tomorrow.. Ian :-)

Hi Jono. Where are you in the World ? About missing parts.. because it is still hand work.. a guy going through a long list checking that everything goes into the box.. im sure sometimes pieces do get missed. But normally ultimaker are very happy and fast to send out the missing parts. About the customer service thing... well I have heard that there is a process started to get some new people in there... But after that I have no idea.. I guess thats why my inbox is filling up with people asking for help... LOLL ;-) If you have any more questions.. feel free to post them on the forum and me and the other MODS will be happy to help you ! Ian :-)
