I wonder what porno looks like on the big screen... BACK IN 5 ! Ian LOL
  2. lets just say interesting !! as 3d printing becomes a bigger normal part of our lives... of course criminals will jump on the band wagon... thanks for the interesting article !! Ian
  3. I just showed this to a good friend when I was in Dusseldorf and he couldnt stop laughing.. so guess who is getting a cool 3d printed surprise in the post this week ! I still love it when people handle ultimaker made models and just wonder... how the hell that was done.... MAGIC.... Ian
  4. i don't know why but today I was just sad..... one women actually smiled at me this morning and I actually wanted to thank her. There are a few big projects I want to do and finish and now... im just finding a problem to get my head out of bed... tomorrow should be better.... Ian
  5. I guess this is the small beginning of my new Bavarian ultimaker happy corner? www.ultimaker2.com
  6. Keep your Ultimaker2 3D printer a little more quiet with Velcro Swimming Towels ! Iv moved into a new and much smaller apartment. So now my living relationship with my ultimaker 2 is getting even closer LOL So to try and tone down the volume of the printing.. so I can sleep I found a old unused small bathing towel with velcro belts... the thing rapes around an ultimaker 2 perfectly and keep down a lot of the noise... now lets test what works better.... used or unused underpants... mmmmm ? LOL Ian www.ultimaker2.com
  7. i just eat a ham sandwich !!... so.... no... i cant beat that ! LOL
  8. please share with us photos and details of your printer for sale... OR... this smells of nasty spam ! Ian
  9. Oh yeah im also back printing.... and 3d modelling and using my spare time... TO MAKE THE WORLD A BETTER PLACE.... LOLLL Going back to work tomorrow... looking forward to getting a project finished and start product testing... a new transporter system for letters and envelopes between our existing system.. a new franking machine and back into our modular system again... simply but its gotta be right ! :-) So guys.. come one... whats UP ??? Ian :-)
  10. question... where can i hang out my socks in this section when I want to really relax and chat.... I never get it... I do this all the time... BUT... i don't have so many friends.... ?
  11. sorry George I just had to give you a LIKE IT for your post.... your just good man !!! Ian :-)
  12. is the machine brand new ? i find that ultimaker2 sometimes needs to print a little hotter than standard 220 to get good print quality... try 240 for fun and see what happens.. if that doesn't help....it looks like under extrusion... then there could be 2 reasons for this... small parts of your black feeder on the back has broken and fed into the filament... and blocked up the flow... or you have the old white teflon part in the hotend and its warped... but that would only happen after a good bit of printing... not first prints... if you do decided to have a closer look at your feeder box... be careful when unscrewing it !! or when you loosen the bolts.. it will fall down into the inside of your ultimaker.. not good... im curious how old your machine is... and if the warmer printer just solves this... Ian
  13. can you show us a photo of your feeder and we can see what version you have ? there are a few different modifications that ultimaker released in different ultimaker 2s to help the feeder.. a photo could answer that straight away. Ian :-)
  14. Hay Ron !! welcome to ultimaker :-) You could be simply printing a little to hot or slow... sometimes if the hotend is set to warm and slow... the build up of heat can cause the top layers of a model to be damaged... Can you show us what is happening in a photo.. that would be a big help to us to get you going .. Ian :-)
  15. food applications... im your friendly irish nosey parker.... :-) what kind of applications ? ;-) Ian
  16. i really like this kind of new material.... BUT if we want colours.... has anyone designed a little color cartridge that can be filled with ink and filament can be fed through it... maybe a simple unit based above the top of the feeder on the ultimaker 2...... i know guys have played with markers on filament with interesting results... but something a little... STEP UP.. ? Ian :-)
  17. welcome to a golden age of your life.. where... without any BS... your imagination can go... WILD !!! rock the creative CASBA... my friend !! Ian :-)
  18. Hay guys. Sounds like a lot of fun. For all those who cannot attend.. me included .. .. did ultimaker ever contemplate a world portal ? Basically a laptop with live feed camera of the meetup and presentation and the chance for viewers around the world to ask questions... Ultimaker is Dutch... but the ultimaker world... is WORLD WIDE BABY !!! They should just do cool new things like this... its nothing new... and BUCKETS OF FUN... What ya think ultimaker.... SCOTTY BEAM US UP ????
  19. there is a new teflon hotend part made from fibre glass.... I think this comes with the new machines as standard... this does not deform easily in the hotend and reduced greatly the chance of blockages. Also you can put a little normal machine oil in the teflon tube that transports the filament that can help things along. Ian :-)
  20. simple and lovely design. can i ask.. to release the camera from the holder.. do you have to bend back the top ? Do you think this bending might weaken the element after time ? thanks for the cool work ! Ian
  21. first thing is... there are enough crazy creative lunatics on this forum.. I wouldnt be missed much ! Secondly... I was changing apartment... changing job and changing a lot in my life and my poor beautiful ultimaker2 had to be switched off in that time. But now things are all calming down and the magic of translating 00011000101010101001 into something in my hand is BACK... and I love it as much as I ever have..... I probably will be the first person to print his own 3d Ulti Coffin... HEHEHEHEHHE... PS... Big happy hugs to all the lovely people here on the forum... missed you guys ! Ian
  22. So after almost 2 months of printing nothing. I just clicked on my ultimaker 2 last night and printed this amazing little monster character. I was very impressed that after 2 months of nothing being used.. that the machine was able to be switched on and print something of this high quality without any preparation.... BRAVO !!! Ultimaker !! Ian :-) www.ultimaker2.com
