  1. Hey guys, hoping to get your feedback on this subject I printed this setup yesterday in tough PLA and generic PLA The Inner Diameter should be of 4.000 inch and it resulted in 3.980 inch which is 0.508mm too small on the diameter. Outside diameter should be 4.25 and is 4.244 (0.15mm difference (good result) Similar results were observed on the smaller cylinders. Inside diameter should be 0.500 and is 0.480 (.508 mm difference). Outside diameter should be 0.8750 and is 0.883 (this time it’s too big of 0.2mm) Any idea what could have caused this shrinkage and expansion ? Same thing happened to all the cylinders, the hole is too small and the outside diameter is a bit bigger but closer to the target dimension. The four plates were almost on target though. Why would they be ok but not the cylinders ?
  2. I just bought a spool of Aquasys 120. Any recommendations for printing with PLA ? Should I keep using the PVA instead ?
  3. I haven't reboot my printer since i bought it (a week ago) but I had ER31 once. maybe that's what happened... but still, I'd like to know what all these different files mean?
  4. Hey guys, I want to take a look at the temperature data of previous prints. I am not connected to internet so I always use my usb key to print. Every time i put back my usb in my computer, the usb key is filled with many files. Can someone help me understand these. I don't understand why there are so many... When I open, for example, the Air manager Log file, I can figure out what the values mean : But when I open what seems to be the data of a print job, there is no title on any number... And then I see many other files that I don't understand : Also, is there anyway to clear the memory of my printer ? how ? And how to correct the dates ? it's always 1970 and not like 2020/12/06... Thanks for the help !
  5. But what are the side effects of not using a prime tower ? Doesn't this affect the quality of your printed part ?
  6. I just printed this part in Nlyon, it is supposed to be flat and I'm 100% sure that it was flat while printing. But how come is it all curvy now ? I submerged the part under water at 50C degrees to remove the support. My bed temperature is at 80 degrees while printing and the print core temperature is 250C degrees. Is my support too soft ? Did I put my part under water too fast after printing ? Thanks for the help! I took screen shots of my printing settings and also the slicing. I'm using Cura 4.8.0 on a Ultimaker Pro Bundle
  7. I'm not sure this is because the nozzle is clogged up. I did another print right after this one and things went better. I'm using an ultimkaer S5 Pro Bundle. I use Cura 4.8.0
  8. Can someone answer us please ? I have the same issue here!
  9. Hey guys, I printed parts that need really good tolerancing (+/-0.005 inch) and unfortunately my first try didn't really work out. Can someone help me understand these poor results. Questions : (Blue arrow) Why my support didn't rise to the top of my parts ? it looks like it stopped half way even tough cura generated support all along the height of the part. (Black arrow) Why are there support filaments all over the place ? (Red arrow) Why is the quality of the print so bad along the edge of the two parts. I'm printing Nylon, with zig zag shaped support...
  10. Hello friends, I have the ultimaker S5 Pro Bundle and I had the problems you can see in the photo below. Anyone can tell me what happened ? As you can see, I have too much of the black material in one corner and for the support material, The material didn't stick to the plate... maybe it's because I didn't add glue on my bed. In the second photo you can see that the materail stayed attached to the nozzle. Is that normal ?
  11. Hey guys, I'm new to the forum and also new to the 3D printing world. My company just bought an Ultimaker S5 and we would like to get our spools from Mcmaster carr. Did any one have any issues with those spools or with the quality of the materials ? Do the spools fit in the machine wihtout any trouble ? I know I have to look for 2.85mm diameter filament, but is there any other spec I need to check to make sure the spools are compatible with my printer ? Thanks a lot!
