SOLVED How to calculate how much filament is used in a 3D print?

Hi all.

Is there a way to determine with the UM3 how much filament is either a) going to be used in a 3D print or b) after the 3D print is completed?

After is easy: just measure the weight of the model. If you regularly compare this real weight with Cura's estimates, then you will get a good idea of its accuracy for your type of models, and for the requirements (spare amount) before starting.

If the numbers don't agree then your printer might be underextruding.
