I am going on a trip next week. I will be gone for a week. What better time to do ginormous prints than when away? Each print is 6+ days. I will get them started on Sunday Feb. 18. This will give me almost 3 days of babysitting the prints. Usually, once they get past a point, they are fairly bulletproof. But when away, that is the best time for Murphy's law to take over and really create an issue.

So, I gots me Tablet and put on the UM3 APP from google play. Phone would not allow it....old phone.....

No issue seeing the things in the home wifi and also see that it has pause and cancel buttons.

But, when out of the home, how to do so? I have seen a lot of materials about this and much of it is beyond my experience, so is there a clear, concise way to approach this? I want to be able to monitor the prints and cancel from a distance if it goes toes up while away. It goes just a way bit over my head really danged fast too!

Right now, I feel like Peanut....

I have just left cura open on my laptop and connected to the laptop through chrome remote desktop.

pretty simple, can monitor , pause, abort .. whatever... from anywhere

this just solved my problem of monitoring when i'm away from home. thanks so much!

FYI: this feature was just released as part of the Cura 4.0 Beta and Firmware 5.2 Beta. It'll get some improvements towards the stable releases, but you can already try it out if you have an Ultimaker S5.
