Adaptive layers (AL) is great also for helping with overhangs, but in this case how do I turn off AL where I don't need it to save time.   like this example I don't want AL on the upward slopes (lower section of part) , only on the threads.

And to answer the question, AFAIK there's no way to do it selectively.
