I am not connected to the printer. This is why I need to Connect to the hotspot, so that I can connect to the printer.
On the printer in the menu system you can configure wifi. When you do it will prompt you to use a phone or other wireless device. You navigate to the access point it suggests (will be something like "ultimaker-44aa". Then open *any* DNS address that isn't https. Probably best to pick one you've never been to such as "aaabbcde.com" and the dns server on the ultimaker will direct the query to it's own ip address automatically.

Thanks for all the suggestions, but it doesn't work. It worked the first time before I shut down and put the printer in a box for some month.
Could it be the firmware? That I have to upgrade it?
Can I enter the popup/setup through LAN, set up Wifi from there?

Anyone who knows if this is doable?

You can use any URL like http://www.google.com. Just make sure you don't use https for this.

I tried this when I hosted a hotspot. Didn't work. Now I am connected through LAN, but soon I need to move the printer to another location so I really need to setup wifi.
What other options are there to setup wifi?

Maybe try a different browser.

Once you created the hotspot, make also sure that your device (laptop, tabled, mobile smartphone) is also connected to that hotspot.
If it keeps failing, can you send the logs?

Where do I find the logs?

From the Menu -> System -> Diagnostics -> Dump logs to USB.
Then you will get a bunch of files on the USB which you can upload.
@HaiderOfSweden - I'm not sure if you are giving us full information. When you say "it doesn't work" we need more details. Did you find the hotspot? What was the name of the hotspot? Did your phone say it was connected? Were you very careful to avoid https? What message did you get on your phone?
People have said that doing a "cura connect reset" makes a world of difference. Some people have to do this several times per week but it works. It works better than rebooting or other "start over" methods. I have never had to do "cura connect reset" and I'm not even sure how to do that but I assume it's in the menus somewhere on the UM3 and S5.

You are right, sorry.
I would start with mentioning that I've done the Wifi Setup before and have succeeded. The printer had been packed down for some time and now I resumed my work. Unpacked, and was ready to go, but failed. Maybe the wifi password was changed since last time, maybe something else.
These are the steps I followed
- Factory Reset
- Wifi Setup > "Wifi Hotspot created, use a computer or smartphone to connect"
- It asks me to connect to "UM-001e19" which I do (with my phone)
at this point, I remember I was offered to click or something, that brought me to the setup-page. This did not happen this time.
- I enter a random URL like recommended above and ....
OK. I continue this post for the sake of documentation. Even though it didn't work last time, this time it did. Typing a URL I've never been in before brought me to the Ultimaker.
I don't know what was different other than connecting the Ultimaker through LAN, updating the firmare and then trying again.

The browser on your mobile device can still cache pages - in which case it might not work as expected. It is a good idea to clear the browser cache before trying, or as you did, use an url you have not tried before... Making one up should work as well: "iwant.wifi.now"
Making one up also assures it isn't https as most sites these days are https and you can't get to the UM wifi setup web page if you choose an https site. Such as google.com. So making up a new site is best like: a.a

I had this exact same issue, the problem for me was that my Pixel was intelligently noticing that the Wifi network didn't have internet connectivity so was routing all my traffic to my mobile network. Setting my phone to Airplane mode, then connecting to the hotspot fixed this issue for me (Ultimaker S5)

You can also disable "mobile data"on the phone.

Thank you very much, gr5! This helped me with a similar problem!!!

Connect to your printer wifi hotspot, open your browser and go to 192.168.0.1. Follow the setup wizard in your browser as usual.
All my browsers force https now and this is the only way I could find that still gets me through to the setup wizard. Tested on Windows 11 laptop and Android phone.

I think you can see the IP adress through Cura monitor if you are connected to the printer
