One might think so yes.. but unfortunately no.
It has been sliced. But all of our printers are occupied at the moment -.-'
I am having a go at this one now: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:19881

I would also look at the belt tension as well.
How far is the distance between the perimeter and infill, can you upload a picture?
-
very nice Bob!! Impressive.
Do you also have a video while the hand is moving?
What did you use as a connection between all the joints, printed parts or something else?
-
Hi Benjamin, I am sorry you feel this level of frustration.
I think it is also fair to say that you have received your Ultimaker over a year ago.
We intend to have a customer friendly policy, but we have to draw the line somewhere.
We offered you free shipping, but you did not want this gesture.
If you feel like you still want take us up on the free shipping, please feel free to reach out to us.
I hope you have a nice day,
-
hahaha @ Ian!
And very nice paintjob indeed!! Overall a nice looking print, but the funny thing is that it doesn't look like a 3D printed object anymore.
What did your friend say?
-
would be an interesting history for clothing-brand. 'In the early years of 2011 the famous clothing brand 'Ultimaker' started as a 3D printer company. I know people, who would have guessed..'
-
wow, great idea Ian!!
Your design may need some photoshop re-touching but i like the concept
I am inspired!

Sewing machine oil is recommendable
-
wow cool to see everyone's contribution.
I have also done some doodling yesterday, will take it to the next level later this week and hopefully share some with y'all if it is worth sharing.

Nice! Team fortress right?
Is he also going to have his flame thrower or hatchet?
Very nice details and smooth surface.
-
Also, if you want to increase resolution, you may want to double check the diameter of your filament.
I usually never do with a .1 print, but on a higher resolution it is easier to see over extrusion.

My thoughts exactly Calum.

No problem. There is a manual about the UltiController, you can find it here: http://wiki.ultimaker.com/UltiController
The FR is new indeed, but the percentage/definition remains the same. With this value you control the speed of the entire machine.

What are you going to be printing first?
And of course welcome to the community
-
If you have a v2 hot end, there are openings in the housing which allow you to guide the bowdentube, so you can push it fully down in the teflon insulator. I always do that, pull it up again to insert the horse shoe, and then push it down again so it is always under pressure, and fully down. Doing a complete rebuild is probably also effective, but this is a bit faster i think.
-
haha well i could give it a try.
I will post my reply on the google groups, no problem.
And i have to agree with some posts here that the first one looked like the best one so far.
Here in the office we will probably come up with a design which is close to this one.
Which i would describe as a more 'obvious' design, close to our corporate identity.
I am curious to see what would come out if we would take a (small/big) step away from that corporate identity, and be a little bit more open minded about the design? So still include the robot, but for example have it look more like a
(3D-)doodle.
I don't know if that would work for the final design, but perhaps it is worth looking in that direction.
-
Ian, what a great idea!
I am happy to let you all know that we are also working on an Ultimaker-shirt, but we are very happy to include a design from our community as well.
Of course, we will be taking the price on our account Ian. Don't be silly.
We will raise your reel of filament, and offer a RAINBOW of colours, with some gold (filament) at the end of the rainbow, like it is suppose to be, eh? I do expect you to throw in your box of chocolate No one can beat Leipzig Chocolate..
Of course the person who has the most awesome design gets a few shirts as well, and the appropriate credits.
I do think the robot should be in the design. Besides that, feel free to express your Ultimaker-feelings.
Looking forward to see everyone's input.

Yes there are blogposts containing the video's. (sorry about our late response)
Here is an example: http://blog.ultimaker.com/2013/06/09/ulti-evening-event-of-may-2013/
Or go to http://blog.ultimaker.com/ and scroll down.
Enjoy the video's!

You could point a hairdryer on your hot end, and see if the temperature rises accordingly. Or fully lower your build platform and put a electric kettle on it, or just a cup of boiled water. You know it should be 100°C
As an alternative, can you take out the teflon tube and manually push a new fresh piece of filament through?
You should feel zero friction. If you do feel an edge this could also prevent a proper extrusion and create plugs.
After you clean everything, please make sure when you assemble everything back together everything is tight.
Looking forward to hear about your findings,
-
very nice! I am very curious to see what it looks like when put together. Will you glue everything together or are there some tiny pins i don't see?
-
a nice piece of art, right there in your livingroom. Cool!
-
Amazing print, congratulations!
Any chance these files are up for sharing?
It would be great to showcase this in the Ultimaker HQ and event we go to.
-
share it! share it! share it!
Man, i wish i could fast forward my learning curve for Zbrush so i could also start making these awesome designs.
*jealous*.
