Search a bit this forum for the two. I guess you will find that with the Mark2 you have a wide spread community for support which might not be the case for the other option.

I think you're quite well off with the CPE profile for XT. From there it should not be so difficult to adjust for nGen. Have also a look at http://learn.colorfabb.com/how-to-print-with-ngen/

Someone from testing? This can be internal testing, beta testing, official measurements for certifications (e.g. EMC) etc.
Do you mean testing our products (materials, hardware, software, how it all works together, and work with new things), or certifications like CE?
Those are 2 quite different..
Well if you ask me like that: first one and then the other...

You don't even have to buy it - just use the PVA solution you get from postprocessing your UM3 prints with PVA.

You mean the belts? Sure. Please contact your Ultimaker reseller. He should be able to get them for you if he does not have it on stock.

+1 Cura
Maybe not for the next but what about an AMA with one of the founders? Also, an AMA with someone from Sales/Distribution might be interesting. Or from support!

Doesn't sound like normal behavior at all. Please contact your reseller.

Then I suggest you compare the temperature and speed settings of Cura and Slic3r.

@adamgarb: The only printer Cura has an active connection to is the Ultimaker 3 afaik. In order to set up a printer you have to select one of the presets or set it up by yourself as a custom printer.

Maybe you want to clean the hotend as it looks like a partial clog to me. Make sure no leftovers from e.g. ABS are in the hotend when printing PLA. I recommend you start with a series of cold pulls.

Conductive filament has a conductive element admixed. Such admixtures (powder, fibres etc.) are quite abrasive. I would indeed recommend a special nozzle but avoid maybe steel or similar and go for a ruby nozzle, e.g. the Olsson Ruby.

If the Mark2 works with G10/G11 it should take the values from the printer settings. Otherwise retraction recognition (the feature is called somehow different) in Marlin would have to be enabled to be able to change it on the printer. If none of those is true, Cura handles the retraction settings.

In addition to the test model you use for testing a new material, can you describe shortly how a new Cura material profile is produced? What kind of test and results are needed before UM can distribute the profile? If this exceeds this AMA, it might also be a nice topic for a blog...

Cleaning the outside of the nozzle is important for the automatic bed leveling. Better leveling leads to better adhesion.
In addition to cleaning the outside, wouldn't it be better to avoid the nozzle dip into the PVA prime blob at the the beginning of the print?

Hi Tom, here is my question I asked via Twitter:
Can I use PP for outdoor prints? Do you have some data on longterm effects (weather, UV)?And as also mentioned already on Twitter, can you maybe comment on the outdoor capabilities of some other UM materials too?
-
Here you find the assembly manual as part of the source files.
-
How did you get the old motor working with the new feeder? It should lack the cog... the new motor including this cog should be available from your Ultimaker reseller.
-
Can you please give us some more details about your printer? You refer to preheating which is usually used for a heated bed. Do you have an UMO with the heated bed upgrade kit or an UMO+?
-
Can you exclude someone was manually aborting the print?

Do you need to worry about couplers degrading with the Ultimaker 3 ?
The disassembly (
) of the printcore did show a piece of teflon :/No it's protected by the double heat break. Afaik it never got warmer than 100°C in the stress tests Ultimaker performed before the UM3 launch.

uhmm... would you mind posting rather different topics in different threads? People who come later with maybe the same question find the answer much easier if you separate the topics.
