It is Cura who made the confusion by naming the first layer on the gui 1 and using 0 internally. TweakAtZ is just consequent and uses 0 for the first layer as it is in the gcode.
If you don't want to mess around with layer numbers you always can use z height in mm.
Yes, you can enter layer 60 but having only 50. It should not break anything.
The still existing bugs will be fixed until next Cura release.

Anyway, TweakAtZ 5.1 is a bit buggy atm.
Originally, the TweakAtZ supported only tweaks starting from the second layer as on the first layer settings should be applied on the printer (UM2 family) or in Cura (UMO, UM3). However, this was changed somewhere end of last year or begin of this year.

What about UV light exposure? While I don't think that any of you is exposing the filament to sunlight there might be a difference in the light sources you use at the place where your printer stands.

The easiest thing would be to buy a PT100 from 3dSolex so you have a good match.

Printing abrasive filaments such as Bronzefil will lead to a quick degradation of the nozzle. As on the UM2+. However, you will have to replace the whole core, not just the nozzle.
Switching between very different materials like PLA, ABS, Nylon and CPE is no problem for the very same AA core.

You may improve it by switching off combing and adding a z-hop.

No, you can't (atm) as the cores are 2.85mm only. However, it's an Ultimaker so a community member will find a way, I'm sure...

@Vattari: Wenn Du über 260°C drucken möchtest, dann brauchst Du v.a. ein Hotend-Isolator, der das durchhält. Eine Möglichkeit dafür ist der I2K-Isolator von 3DSolex. Die Vorteile des Matchless-Block liegen bei der verbesserten Wärmeübertragung, d.h. Du kannst damit schneller drucken (mehr Material pro Zeit). Höhere Temperaturen erreichst Du aber auch schon mit dem normalen Olsson-Block; der Durchsatz ist vielleicht etwas geringer. Die 35W-Patrone hast Du ja schon mit dem UM2+.
Wenn Du über 255°C (wenn ich mich richtig erinnere) drucken willst, brauchst Du aber eine angepasste Firmware.

There is a bug in the current TweakAtZ. It will soon be fixed (either by me or by Ultimaker). If you don't mind we will use this thread to communicate when an fixed version is ready.

Check both the material settings in the UM2XT+ and Cura... some settings are affected by both (I recently run into that issue with the fan speed).

@Foehnsturm, maybe you want to give some rough timeline for how long you want have the individual phases of the beta tests? The testers of the first phase will have to be able to deliver feedback within a certain time while the testers of the second phase will have to be a bit patient...

@LePaul: Maybe the Windex is the source of your adhesion problems? Those glass cleaners usually leave a small film on top of the glass. If that film adheres nicely to both glass and print you're fine, if not...
I just wash my glass with water normally. Sometimes I use a dish washing agent which contains polylactide acid.

The most important thing I would have changed is the display; swap that thing out for a colour / touch interface and tilt it a bit.
I'm fine with a non-touch display as long as it has that size. A touch display has to be much bigger...otherwise it's a PITA to operate it if you don't have tiny fingers...

Did you leave the machine switched on for one or two minutes? That starting of the fan followed by seemingly doing nothing is normal. But after a minute or so display should come up and finally also the LEDs.
Yeah, I've left it on for an hour waiting for something to happen. It's just the fan noise and then nothing.
Then you should contact your reseller tomorrow.

On January 25th 2017 there will be an Ultimaker Meet-Up at FabLab in Lucerne (in the heart of Switzerland) for Swiss Ultimaker users. It will be hosted by the FabLab itself in cooperation with me and @iGo3D Switzerland.
We are preparing an attractive program which you can find here. On the same page you can find a registration for the event (as the number of participants has to be limited due to the available space).
What makes the program attractive? There will be printers from all three Ultimaker printer families there. There will be small workshops about Cura 2.3 (maybe 2.4 until then?), community mods etc. And last but not least, we will have a live feed to @SandervG ...
(well, if that alone is not THE reason to join that meet-up...)We would like to have not only people already here on the forum at this event but also those who are not yet connected to other users here. So if you have a friend with an Ultimaker who you try to convince to join this forum: this is your chance; tell him/her about that meet-up.
If you have a very cool modded Ultimaker yourself and would like to present it to other makers: it's now or never...! You're highly welcome to bring your own printer with you; just let us know in the registration.
Of course it is also a great opportunity for people who finally want to checkout Ultimaker printers...

Interessante Diskussion hier...
Ich denke, es wurden ein paar sehr wichtige Themen angesprochen. Zum einen oder anderen davon kann ich vielleicht einen Hinweis geben, so die Reise hingehen soll.
Service wurde angesprochen. Vor einem Jahr konnte man (gerade) noch im Ultimaker-eigenen Shop Verbrauchsteile kaufen. Dann wurde alles zu den Distributoren hin verschoben. Die belieferten immer mehr Reseller; der UM2+ war begehrt. Natürlich konnte nicht jeder Reseller ein eigenes Ersatzteillager führen und vielen Kunden war nicht klar, wo sie Hilfe bekommen würden. Das wurde erkannt. Ein Hinweis darauf ist der blaue Support-Knopf unten rechts auf dieser Seite. Damit soll jeder User zur richtigen Support-Stelle geführt werden. Und ja, dieser Prozess ist noch nicht abgeschlossen, aber auf gutem Weg.
Ganz klar soll die erste Anlaufstelle immer der Händler sein, wo der Drucker gekauft wurde. Je nach Art dieses Händlers wird die Anfrage dann relativ rasch an den Distributor weitergehen. Ziel ist ganz klar, dem Kunden einen einwandfreien Service zu bieten. Da wird im Moment ganz, ganz stark bei Ultimaker und auch bei @iGo3D, dem Distributor für das deutschsprachige Gebiet, daran gearbeitet.
Es wurde der 69 Euro Tintenstrahldrucker von Aldi erwähnt. Persönlich finde ich es nicht so erstaunlich, wenn der Service bei einem Discounter, der ein General-Sortiment hat, halt nicht der Gleiche ist wie bei einem Fachgeschäft. Ist doch auch beim Tintenstrahldrucker so, oder? Also sollte sich jeder überlegen, wo er seinen Tintenstrahldrucker, aber auch seinen Ultimaker kauft. Und damit mich keiner falsch versteht: Es gibt durchaus Gründe für einen Kauf beim Discounter; man muss einfach mit gewissen Gegebenheiten danach auskommen können.
Der UM3 zielt auf ein professionelles Publikum ab, das ist richtig. Aber es gibt im Profi-Bereich nicht nur ein Kundensegment. Nicht jeder braucht einen 100'000 Euro-Drucker; nicht jeder braucht einen Kubikmeter Bauvolumen. Manche schon. Auch hier gilt wieder: überlegen, was für ein Unternehmen wichtig ist. Ausfallrisiko minimieren? Teure Profimaschine mit Vorort-Support! Gute Qualität, aber vielleicht mal ein Schluckauf der Maschine? Desktop-Drucker! Wichtig ist da aus meiner Sicht genauso wieder, dass ein ehrliches Beratungsgespräch stattfindet. Ist natürlich nicht die Sache von jedem Wiederverkäufer...
Im übrigen würden sich wohl einige von Euch wundern, welche Firmen bereits Ultimaker einsetzen; da darf ich aber leider nichts dazu sagen.
Und noch eines zum Schluss: Obwohl ich stark mit Ultimaker verbandelt bin, bin ich mir durchaus bewusst, dass es auch andere gute Dekstop 3D-Drucker gibt. Und auch Ultimaker weiss das...
