Though I like the idea, I'm afraid that you simply loose to much strength due to your wall thickness being cut away :(

So I did the PID autotune today:
First swing with original PID was 9.something up and 5 down.
< echo:PID settings:
< echo: M301 P22.20 I1.08 D114.00
It settled on 3.4 up and down with the following PID
M301 P13.77 I0.43 D111.21

I can offer cookies and other sweet stuff for the injection mold thingie but I don't think I need a teflon part. The UMO one is still not glass filled right? -

@ Clamp, I use it, though I agree with you Sander, but I didn't have the injection mold thingie :( Any one got a spare?
Ask again close an Ulti-evening, I am sure we can find one somewhere.

There are some *pending* upgrades waiting for my sweet UMO. And auto-printing is something I would really like to experiment with! (I'll also bring a spare nozzle to drill out on the side) -
Or you are just plainly trying to print to fast and that's why the first layers do work, since they are printen slower

I think the sound level is lower due to the better electronics too
Also, it's not only a heated bed, but also the Zstage of the UM2, which is much more reliable! It's the same as in the Heated Bed Kit btw.

I tried super glue to glue magnets to PLA and that didn't work. The magnets were too strong.
PVC glue for PLA-PLA works great!

Probeer anders contact op te nemen met Joris van ProtoSpace. Zijn uitvinding die hij nog aan het afmaken is, Z-unlimited, zou in principe de hoogte dus, unlimited hoog kunnen maken

What happened in week 40(sept-okt) that people started printing less that week?
I'm interested in temperature, speed, platform adhesion and infill percentage, in that order

Cool, I must say I like colorfabbs way of putting it on their spools. But spools can differ in size, so it's not that accurate.
Not sure what I would design though :(

Oh Sander, one more thingie:
I usually open subfora in new tabs, by clicking with my middle mouse button. But in the subfora that consist of two lines, for example " Ultimaker International - NEDERLANDS", there is a little white space between UM I and NETHERLANDS, causing me to miss my click :oops: Is that fixable in the new forums :mrgreen: ?

What about a rating ratio between post count and liked post(or posted marked as solution as described in another post above).
Say
(10*solution + likes )/ postcount
And then add stars where the two grey dots are now(under your portrait).
This way spamming is punished, and writing good things is promoted
We do need to find suitable coefficients...I'll ask again close to an Ulti-evening(when will there be another

@Zoev89, I know, dat heb ik ook wel eens gedaan, maar het draadje zelf ziet er gewoon niet fris uit, de trekontlasting lijkt al bijna los te zijn waardoor ik vrees dat ooit de draadjes door gaan breken. De laatste keer dat ik mijn heaterblok los moest halen moest ik al extreem voorzichtig zijn.

Staan je machine settings wel groot genoeg? De laatste keer dat ik dit probleem had stonden ze op 205 205 200.

You said you doubled you Zacceleration? Could you have a look what is in your settings?
Because the article says 1500 where it was 100 originally
It also talks about Zspeed, which was set to 10 originally and changed to 100.
In my printer it was set to 5 originally...
